    Cheers.

BRS doesn't tell you, all it says is 'booked' and with a junior on aswell it’s impossible to tell. Plenty of spaces still on the time sheet….Will it go ahead?

Impossible? The Junior and Senior online booking link is seperate so it's very easy to tell. There are currently 14 people booked in for the senior.

Want to know any more than that, i suggest calling the club and asking.

    Comedian.

Apologies you are right on the booking.

Are you actually for real? Galway isn't a good course??? Granted it's not the best course in the west of Ireland as they like to claim but it is a very good course.
I don't think in 20 odd years playing golf I've ever before heard someone say Galway wasn't a good course...................

Too short for ya is it?

Yes it is too short for me. Very original comment there. Well done.

Eek, only 14 names in for Malahide Senior by the looks of it. Poor.

There doesn't seem to be an appetite for Senior Scratches at all really - less than 10 for St Annes, 20 or so at South County, 14 for Malahide.

Not enough ego massaging at these places for them?

The North of Ireland is on next weekend so a lot of the Senior category will be up there...or in Lucan ;).

(Psst.....did I tell you there's a Junior and Senior on in Lucan next week? 4 slots left to the timesheet - one at 7:48am, another at 9:18am, and two at 11:15am).

For those low enough to enter it was on earlier in the summer but you needn't worry yourself about them kind of competitions

There is an Intermediate in Carlow on the same day (25/07).

Bit of a dilemma for some boards.ie members there.

nothing on either the woodbrook malahide or oughterard websites re how to enter

clubs dont seem to make entry user friendly

On the Malahide website, there is a link under latest news about the junior and senior scratch entry. It directs you to click on open competitions on the homepage.

Here's the link, you just need to click on whatever event you wish to enter:

It's not unusual for clubs not to have online booking enabled for a scratch cup. As long as there is a phone number there though, i don't see what the problem is.

Woodenbridge Junior Scratch is on the August Bank Holiday Monday. It's a Topgolfer event. Time sheet is available online.
However at €35 I'm not suprised there are only 3 names down. Lovely track but not at that price. €20-€25 last year.

Played there once a couple of years ago and completely forgot the name of it, so thanks for that! Loved the course I have to say. I really need to try get my handicap down to 9.

€35 for a p&putt course is expensive imo, that said it must be 1 of the most scenic courses i've played

Just some info for those of you who are down to play in Lucan tomorrow morning. We fully expect the event to go ahead but just in case the rain continues overnight please ring the club on 01-6282106 (listen to the menu options to hear the automated message as to whether the course is open. As I said we're pretty sure the course can take a lot more rain but just in case...

Thanks Huntelaar, hope you enjoyed the event. Tbh the greens were a little rough in places which I suppose is understandable with all the rain we had on Friday and Saturday. Pity we didn't catch them in the condition they were in 3 weeks ago.

JSC was won by Liam Hannigan (5) from Lucan with 145 (70, 75) and the SSC was won by Mark Reck (2) with 141 (69, 72) also from Lucan. From what I could see there were no delays and everything ran smoothly. Thanks to all who supported and look fwd to seeing you again next year.

Yeh it was very well run as usual. We weren't delayed at all in either round which was great cos we got home in time for the World Cup Final! I liked the changes made to the course since last year except for the fact that the 6th green was in horrific condition but I'm sure it'll get better in time. 8th hole was a vast improvement. Used to be a pretty poor hole.

Have you got the full results on you by any chance?
