Today is the 4th of July - American Indpendance Day

The American commemoration of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Which beggars the question, how come Ireland doesn't have a similar day of commemoration of our day of independance? Do you think we should have one?
