Collins has been immense, taken O Sullivan to the cleaners.

Have Limerick really not won a Munster Football Final since 1896?
There will be some celebration if they win this so.

If Limerick could just sneak ahead I can see 'em holding out.

The ref is some sort of sick joke.

Kerry probably deserved to edge it considering John Galvin took 7 or 8 steps in the lead up to his goal.

Kerry never change jerseys the sly hoors.

Think Mayo gave up changing jerseys against them because the favor was never repaid.

Ever since they got hammered by meath in 2001 in their away they haven't been too inclined to change.

they wore navy v meath last year??

That ref was a disgrace! He should be banned and investigated by the GAA for some of his decisions today.Kerry got at least 3 points from frees that should not have been given and Tomas O Se should have been red carded for an elbow to Kelly-(if that was an Ulster player he would get a 12 match ban) but because its Kerry he gets away with it!
    Cavan fan.....

Limerick should be proud. Great performance against the All-Ireland champions. Ye will be a force in the qualifiers.

Great performance by Limerick, shame they could not take the chances. They will be akward in the qualifiers.

    Kerry always have it.

O'Shea VERY lucky to stay on.

Highly enjoyable game of football and I'm gutted that Limerick couldn't have taken it. I honestly think that if we had gotten ahead after pulling back level then we could have seen it out. As it was Kerry went ahead and then picked off 2 quick points from a sparse defence.
It's a shame that a footballer with the class of Ian Ryan didn't contribute anything to the game, just as he went missing in the second half of last years final. Limerick don't have many scorers and we definitely need those we have to step up. Ger Collins was brilliant today and cleaned out Tom O Sullivan.
Stephen Kelly worked his arse off and John Galvin was his usual excellent self.
My gripes with the the game were the ref who was very weak. Tomas O Se should have been off before half time yet he didn't even clock up a yellow. The same O Se who nabbed the insurance point.
Going forward I'd be happy that Limerick could put it up to most teams in the qualifiers if they reproduce that level of performance.
    Waiting since 1896 sucks!!

Great display by Limerick who should have won today. Your supporters were a credit to the county today. As for the referee he was a disgrace, the amount of soft frees Kerry got was a joke and how Tomas O'Se was left on the field for his assault on Kelly is unbelieveable. It seems there's 1 rule for established counties like Kerry and another for counties trying to make the breakthrough!

TÓS should have gotten a straight red for his late hit, a yellow for the foot-trip and another yellow for raising his elbows. Him getting away with all three was absolutely disgraceful

Lads in all fairness a ref can just be fcuking useless without it being some sort of conspiracy against smaller teams.

Limerick were magnificent. They really were, if i could allow one team to beat us, it would be them. However, sentiment have no place in GAA and Kerry won. 1-17 is a serious score, 1-14 is not far behind.

it was an incredible game, right down to the end. Tomas was foolish and yes both his tackles were yellows, but the ref saw both and adjudged them to be just foolish. did he get one yellow for the last foul? i love the way when Kerry get decisions, there is uproar, yet where were all the people a few weeks ago when cork got away with murder with elbows, kicks and punches. it is also advisable that Tomas wouldnt have went in like that, had he been cautioned for the first or 2nd one.

overall, super stuff, genuinly feel for Limerick, had they been playing in Connaght or Leinster over the last 6 years, they would have won a title I am sure. They are, IMO, in the top 10 teams in the country, but the fact that 2 of the top 3 teams lie in their way every year, they never get to show their true potential and the efforst that go into beating them, leaves them short in the qualifiers.

Hopefully they will finally win their 4th round qualifier and get the 1/4 final they deserve. well done to both teams on a wonderful game, 33 scores is something else.

In last year's Munster final Limerick could feel hard done by at the penalty that was awarded against them at the start of the game,it was a soft decision. Cork scored a goal from the penalty and scraped home by a point. I'm not targeting Kerry but any genuine GAA person will have to admit that Tomas O'Se can consider himself very lucky to have stayed on the field today and that the ref had a very poor game overall.

I don't blame the ref for Kerry winning, I think it was more of the championship experience for Kerry that won them the game.

Also, the jersey situation has to be reviewed.

114 years is a long time :( Anyone know when the qualifier draw is made? Limerick should look forward to the next day with confidence.

I agree totally. Cooper was dragged to the ground by two men in the first half and the Ref gave a free out.
Quirke was targeted the second he came on the field, and was punched kicked and pulled for the remainder of the game.
Kieran O'Leary was likewise targeted as soon as he entered the pitch by the Limerick #7.
Donaghy was dragged for 70mins straight.... etc, etc. etc.

Just because Limerick hadn't won a Munster final in 114 years doesn't mean they should have preferential treatment. But Kerry fought on through these injustice's and found the strenght to win the game.

    See it goes both ways.

p.s To the Cavan poster claiming that Tomás would get 12 weeks in Ulster... Look within your own team first. Your full back Thomas Corr pushed a referee and got nothing. Glass Houses come to mind...

Would you like to point out where he was punched and kicked because I watched the whole game and never saw this happen. Pulled yes, but that's to be expected.
