Even better, he's ambidexterous like me! :P

I meant in terms of tennis though. Although I'm never going to be a grand slam winner like Nadal (or even an anyway competent player!), I do play left handed (although I'd generally be considered a lefty in terms of writing etc anyway!). :)

    Not with that attitude anyway!

Oh sorry, I forgot about the year that myself and Craguls are going to get every win possible in tennis. We're going to win all Grand Slam events - women's singles for me, men's singles for him and mixed doubles together. We'll basically breeze in, win everything in sight, then wander out again at the end of the year. I can't remember which year it was though.. :D

Uhm, please don't hurt me for asking this, I know nothing about sports :o

Does like every county have a football team and do they play against each other, or do we just have the Irish team?

Football as in GAA or football as in soccer?

GAA includes Gaelic Football, Hurling and Handball. Its an organisation and group of sports, not a specific sport :P

Theres not really county soccer teams.Mostly theyre specific to cities/towns and some have more then one

The League of Ireland has 20-something teams in two divisions, there's not necessarily one in every county, in fact a large amount of them are in Dublin, Shelbourne, Shamrock Rovers, Bohemians, UCD etc.

And teams on the outskirts of Dublin aswell. Drogheda, Kildare County and Bray Wanderers

Drogheda? On the outskirts of Dublin? It's about 40 miles from the outskirts of Dublin, it's two counties away ffs!

Drogheda is about 20 minutes drive from Dalymount park (where Bohemians play)

    So?

Even if it's only a 20 minute drive, that's only possible with the motor way.
It must be over 50 kilometres from Dublin City Centre.

Centre of Dublin (Parnell St.) to McDonalds in Drogheda (pretty much centre of Drogheda) takes about 40 minutes by bus for me. The very South of Drogheda to the airport or Santry might take 20 minutes, but that's about it.

Source: Commuting to Dublin every day for a year, passing through Drogheda a lot of the time.

Breaking news: The Football Association announces that Fabio Capello will stay on as England manager.

I'm not sure what to say. Fail?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,247 ✭✭✭✭rebel girl 15

Doesn't make any difference to us whether he stays or goes

Tbh I'm not surprised - after all the fanfare made before the WC saying that they took out the clause out of his contract, it would be a major embarrassment to the FA

Apologies for double-posting, but Brazil are in big trouble right now!
2-1 down and just got a man sent off for stamping.

    Woah!
I was watching Wimbledon! Didn't expect this! saw that they were winning and presumed they were going to breeze through!

And with Brazil having to push forward to get an equalizer, the Dutch will get more space to play

I know what you mean! The Dutch seemed to be desperately hanging on for half-time. They've been completely different in the second half. Best game of the whole World Cup so far, even with all the fouls.

Glad to see my pre-tournament prediction of the Netherlands still going strong

On a side note, my god Robinho is a whiny git. Was constantly screaming at Van Bommel when he tackled him and Robben whenever he went down after a challenge. Incredibly annoying face aswell. Hopefully he'll stay in Brazil with Santos.

Can't wait for the match tonight, I really think it's gonna be a cracker. As I'm sure is the case with most people, my head says Uruguay, but my heart says Ghana. Having said that, I'd die a happy man if I saw Diego Forlan lifting the World Cup :)

Andy Murray you are a massive bottler. You will never win a grand slam bottling those amount of set points against a player such as Nadal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,553 ✭✭✭soccymonster

Nadal seems a preety decent guy. Chuffed he beat Andy Murray seeing as he played very well. So disappointed Djokovic lost today :( He's like my favourite.
Those slow motion yokes of the players reactions are kinda ridiculous too :P

I think he'll have a better chance in the US Open. Not as much pressure on him over there.

Also glad to see that no stupid idiot from the crowd decided to shout out "come on Tim". It was funny the first time. Less so years into Andy Murray's career.

G'wan Nadal and the Dutch. :D

More breaking news! Andy Murray to be sponsored by Viagra. For people who can't get past a semi. :pac:
