    Go onnnnn Meath!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,062 ✭✭✭DancingQueen:)

That's not going to happen because Dublin's going to win  (hopefully)

    I take it back :(

What was really cool bout that Dublin, Meath game was the amount of times that the ball hit the cross bar or the post! Like it might happen once or twice but Im sure it happened atleast 4 times there! Dublin missed a few chances coz the ball bounced off of it and then Meath got 2 of their goals from hitting the crossbar/post yet they were angled in such a way they went in!

Fair play to Meath goals win games, the better team always wins.
And Dublin are completely over-hyped every year, in everything.. :)

This is what annoys me. Dublin are not over-rated. I don't know anyone who thought Dublin would win anything this year, I haven't seen anyone predicting them to win anything, so I haven't seen any of this hype to be perfectly honest...

FIFA owe England one now. England 2018, here we come!

But do you read the gaa people in papers, listen to them on the radio watch them on tv? Its all the same thing. Last year when yee lost the Leinster hurling final to Kilkenny by 5 points I think? Ask any person thats seen Kilkenny play even twice before and they'd know Kilkenny didnt even try for that game, they just were only in 2nd gear. Then after the game it was all about how brave Dublin were, they really drove Kilkenny to the end.. All that shizz, and it was complete barf tbf.
Then when they were to play Limerick in the AI QF people wernt giving Limerick a chance for it and then near the end Dublin were winning comfortably enough and then relaxed, Limerick went on to win.
Football, its always being said Dublin are one of the top teams but they're complete chokers they can win a decent game or two but go on to lose the games that really matter.
Then after the Meath game today, they're in transition, there has to be an excuse. Maybe they're just not good enough?! And btw nobody was saying they were in transition before the game...

No idea where all this Dublin hatred has come outta though
Tbf It reminds me a little of Waterford...

That sounds the exact same as the British Media's reaction to England every single time they play, they're either a different class or just unlucky

Yeah those Scottish newspapers really love to talk England up.

Tbf people have learnt to accept that Dublin footballers are complete chokers in the big games. Mainly though because Leinster hadn't provided much of a challenge in previous years.

In the hurling, well they do have the likes of Rushe, dotsy, hiney and mccrabbe and at underage levels, it seems to be going well. They aren't overrated as such, but lack the experience to come through with the goods. they deserve way more support imo.

First Leinster Final for 50 years.

    I now care about GAA.

    4-1 and I missed it...:(
    Sounds controversial though.

    EDIT: Argentina goal :D

Dublin got punished for the terrible full back line they have. I give credit for taking advantage of that. After watching dublin twice live this year it is very clear to me that pat gilroy has to go at the end of the championship

Hehe I wouldn't begrudge you the victory. I was at the Leinster final that time - I'd just be more inclined to go for Louth. :D
I was there too! And I remember it so well. Would have loved a final against Meath.

It was shocking how much the ground emptied after the Dublin/Meath game. The Canal End was practically empty and so was the hill. You'd think that at least if you paid for your ticket for two games then you'd stay for two games.

That defeat by Louth feels worse than the 23-point murdering by the Dubs last year. This time, there are at least 2 players on the team who I would happily like to beat the head off. At the same time, I'd give about 2 others a fair pat on the back.

This is going to be the first year in about the last 7 that I haven't got to go to a match in Croke Park.:(

    (

I was one of a very few dublin fans on the hill for the louth / westmeath game. I can probably be seen on the sunday game since I was half way up the hill directly behind the goal.

The problem with the sunday game is that they have two Kerry panelists and one or two meath panelist/s out of the five they use. There is no Dublin panelist so all the football talk is generally biased against Dublin. Bernard Flynn is known for it.

I see Bernard Flynn around the whole time. Met him in the train station about 3 weeks ago while he was heading up to Dublin for the Sunday Game.

Dublin are nearly the only team I hate. Only Tyrone I hate more, Brian Dooher.
