Actually it makes me very facking angry that a parent would do that type of ****, I'm not naive enough to think babies wont simulate their parents, if the bong is lying around then its going to happen but for fack sake take the bong and put it on a shelf were the kid cant get it, dont take pictures and post them on the web....

I will say it again, that mother is scum......

Bit of a knee jerk reaction there, exactly what the media were looking for. It's this type of reaction that encourage the media to print shíte like this. How do you conclude that this mother is scum? For what reason exactly???

You dont see anything wrong with posting pictures of a baby simulating drug use on a social networking site?
I will hazard a guess that you dont actually have kids!

I don't see how posting it on a social networking site makes them bad parents.. Not smart but certainly no worse than just "simulating drug use".

Imo, there's no problem with taking a funny photo of a child with a bong.. The kid doesn't know what it is so why does it matter. I'd have a bigger problem with it if the kid was even 6 or 7 years old.

So the kid's going to find his parents' stash, sprinkle the weed/burn the hash into the bong, find and operate a lighter, hold his finger over the carb whilst inhaling, before releasing and taking a big hit?

And stop shouting at us; you sound like the tabloids who allowed this non-story to see the light of day.

    Phones Liveline:

Ah jasus Joe, it's terrible, the young people today Joe, doin the drugs. I blame the parents Joe - no control, they should bring back corporal punishment Joe, never did me any harm...

I'm not exactly anti-drugs, but even I can see that it's absolutely thick to be giving bongs to a baby. If anything, she should keep the bloody bong locked up so the kids aren't growing up around drug paraphernalia thinking it's all good...

The mother is a retard. End of story.

You might think its funny for a mother to post pictures of her baby simulating drug use on a social network but I don't, she is scum in my eyes, you are obviously more tolerant.
Suggesting I've turned into a granny for posting my opinion on this is more indicative of your ignorance than my intolerence.

I cant read the article im currently boycotting the daily mail, because it is sensationalist crap that only pisses me off when I read it. Everytime I go are these people who write this **** serious!

From whats been said in the thread it sounds like a non story mother owns bong, so far we dont even have evidence of anyone actually using drugs.

She then takes a picture and adds it to facebook, its a funny picture kids in adult type positions are funny. For further evidence of this switch on your TV and see how many ads there are featuring kids doing adult things!

Mediatraitor seriously get over yourself your making a snap judgement about one individual based on the daily mail ( if ever there was a need to use a facepalm pic on AH i have found it)

If it was a picture of the child with a beer bottle in its hand would that be ok?

How the **** can a post be an ignoramus?

I dont like the idea of either, it shows a complete disregard for the baby to have it in an environment were any drug is in use..... You have to agree that the innocents of a baby is something to be protected.

    The bong-smoking baby

"Child services investigate after U.S. mother posts photo of son with drug pipe on Facebook. The disturbing image shows a baby sitting on a blanket wearing a nappy and putting the green glass smoking instrument to his mouth as if he were inhaling it".

Another reason not to post anything that is slightly out of line on Facebook and its a good job she is not living in Ireland, she could be tracked down by the authorities here and then be locked up for 5 years for possessing the fcuking thing.

I don't think she should be prosecuted but it is extremely knackery. There's a certain 'type' who post 'hilarious' pictures of their kids with fags in their hand or holding a beer bottle on Facebook. It's just really trashy and I don't see the funny or the cute in it.

The picture shows a kid with its mouth around a bong simulating drug use, I find it offensive but hey.
If yourself and the other guys find it funny then fair enough but I am not going to agree with the gang just so I dont come in for some criticism. Just speaking my mind brother!

    Parenting fail!

Kid should be playing with blocks, not a bong.

all your posts have just shown you up to be a dry-arsed, over reacting arch-nemesis of normality. it's a baby ffs, not a 12 y/o. the child learns absolutely nothing at all about drug use.

    go back to your island

So you think taking pictures of a baby simulating drug use with drug paraphenalia and posting them on a social network is normality?

I hope you dont come to my island brother,

And your ignorance is making us intolerant of you, you have stated you dont like, you havent stated why... Therefore your opinion is based on ignorance and we will keep badgering until you deliver a valid reason :)

I agree with the majority, this is a massive over reaction

Its my opinion, I might not be in the majority on this but it is my opinion and instead of stickin the boot in why dont you explain to me the error behind my thinking in an articulate and reasonable manner, tell me why it is wrong to think this woman is scum?

i've already said posting it on a social network is retarded, cos unfortunately the world is populated with people like you.

just to clarify my thoughts: baby doesn't have a f'uckin clue what the bong is, baby is not smoking weed, weed is a perfectly normal and acceptable stimulant for lots and lots of (adult) people, babies doing things you only see an adult doing = funny...funny photo - dont like it? get a life.

one question though...do you think a bottle of beer being held by a baby is a funny image?

The Woman made a foolish mistake and we know nothing more than that. You've made up a stereotype for her being scum when you know absolutely nothing about her, you've never even seen her. She may well be scum for all we know but you can't honestly think you know a person so well from a picture that probably just happened out of the blue.

i've already said posting it on a social network is retarded, cos unfortunately the world is populated with people like you. ?

So your only answer to why this picture is wrong is that people like me dont find it pallitable? This to me sounds like you are saying if people like me didnt find it knackery then it would be OK to post pictures of a baby simulating drug use?

You didnt really think this one out, parenting is about protecting children not using them to create funny pics
one question though...do you think a bottle of beer being held by a baby is a funny image?

I have answered this before, read the thread

Not that I think he is funny, but this reminds me of rare wise word from Ed Byrne:
So what else gets up Ed's nose? "I get livid about the fact that you can't have a sensible argument with someone who has kids because you always lose,” he says."They've got kids so they know what you're talking about and I don 't!

Some people just use their children to justify their own selfishness. Four by fours, for example, shouldn't be allowed in London - it's not that hilly!
"It's not just the environmental impact of those vehicles, but also the fact that the London roads are too narrow for them and that you'll kill someone if you crash into them in a four by four. But people who drive them say, 'have you got kids? Well, you just don't understand then, do you?'
