    There is a car I see in Dublin: a bright pink Clio with eyelashes painted around the headlights and pink upholstery inside.

    So I would nominate being knocked down by that in a public place.

    Or being knocked down by the Clio and barely surviving, only to be knocked down and killed by the arriving ambulance.

    I know that car, have seen it myself, usually around the dublin 8 or 12 area.

    An awful way to go, i agree !

    i actually know of a man who was quite fat who got locked out of his house and tried to climb in an open window and get stuck there for hours, and died as a result. i felt so bad when i heard because i started laughing as i initially thought it was a joke! i just had this image of a plump man half way in a window and his legs kicking :o

    There was a story about a man who went out to the pub.....came back drunk......lost his keys and slept in the bin outside his house and the rubbish was collected the next day and he got crushed to death. I would say that would be pretty embarrassing.

    Anybody who died in such a tragic way would go straight to heaven . Explaining it to his other drunk mates up there would be very embarrassing .

    There's a book chronicling ridiculous, bizarre deaths - one is someone who worked in a sweets factory getting crushed to death by a consignment of marshmallows.

    There was also one where a guy was woken by his mobile phone ringing and he put it up to his ear hurriedly... but it wasn't actually his phone, it was his gun and he pulled the trigger and blew his brains out.

    Another one: a person being crushed to death by someone jumping from a window above them...
