It definitely helps when you're benching a lot or feeling some elbow pain, doesn't even have to be heavy just regularly getting the blood flowing more.

    shoulders, RTCs, Back etc
It seems to be hindering your bench press :P

Only messin, nice work dude! What exercises do ya do for this? Benching seems to destroy me shouders for some reason...

    This

Dislocates, general stretches, light raises etc.

If you narrow your grip it should take some pressure off the shoulders.

less weight = less pressure on the disc, but good/better training stimulus.

*sigh* I was trying to suggest single leg rdl's as a way of doing them without overloading your back.

I quoted your rdl message! I know lunges involve the glutes and hams but not exactly the same. All clear now I hope. ;)

Try these in the Smith Machine or power rack. My lower back fatigues before the rest of me so I like these for keeping the stress off the lower back but hitting the rest of the posterior chain.

    Smolov Week 2 Day 3
    8x4 @ 80% +2.5

    115kg 8 x 4

    Lat Pulldowns
    Lots

I'm gonna have to weigh up the risks of benching tomorrow, the bench in the gym is a serious hazard at the mo.

I got a pic of it, i'll throw it up at some stage.

I'm seriously losing size. Or else i've developed bigorexia. My diets a joke.

    Smolov Week 2 Day 4
    10 x 3 @ 85% +2.5 kg

    Bench
    bar 3 x 15
    60kg 3 x 5
    80kg x 5
    100kg x 3
    110kg x 3
    122.5kg 10 x 3

    Pendlays
    60kg x 10
    70kg x 5
    80kg x 5
    90kg x 5
    100kg x 5
    95kg 5 x 5 ( may have been 6 or 7 i wasn't paying attention)

    Elbow Flexors
    a heap

The bench in my gym is dying a slow death, it's pretty dangerous tbh.
If Drifter was any good he'd let me bench in his gaff for a week.

Im sick of being over 17 stone!

    June 2009 - 16.5 stone.
    December 2009 - 18.8 stone
    Feb 2010 - 16.5 stone
    June 1st 2010 - 17 stone 12 lbs

    June 22nd 2010 - 17 stone 7lbs

Goal: 15.5 stone by Sept 1st.
    hmmmmmmm

Eating to get heavy is fun albeit expensive.
I have a mass gainer, a reflex one, vanilla flavoured, 2.5kg tub with one scoop gone out of it, thats free to a good home if interested.
Sent my dad into the shop for me one day to buy reflex protein and he came home with that and i opened it by mistake.

a mass gainer is one thing i DEFINITELY do NOT need.
