Anyone had a 'bomb' put under their car recently?

My poor single female friend who just moved into her first house in Crumlin, had some toe-rag put a hoax device under her car around midnight last week. The whole street had to be evacuated and garda time wasted. She is now very rattled.

Has anyone else had this experience?

What do you do that is so significant?

Oh, wait, maybe you're an engineer. You might have built a machine that packages cups.

Cups that get sent to McDonalds.

The point is, the hierarchy we implement within ourselves for achievement is artificial and not necessary. It gives some people an inflated sense of self worth while degrading others.

    More simply put, pathetic.

Though I support the campaign against fake tan, I can't say I approve of this latest development.

As if anyone in Crumlin is smart enough to make a car bomb.

Let me guess, it was an empty box of cornflakes with "TNT" written on it?

Apparently it was a brick, wrapped in a bin liner with bits of wires coming out of it. Thrown under her car by a car driving by. Asbos.

Unfortunately he's not too far off. I live in Drimnagh (right beside Crumlin) and it does happen quite a bit. To be honest they are always hoaxes though!! Perhaps there's some truth in what Kiera is saying. An intelligent Northsider? Who would have imagined.....

No, but once when I was about 7 I heard about all the car bombs in Northern Ireland. My mom went into the supermarket to get groceries, locking the car because I decided to stay inside. I heard a big *CLUNK* noise under the car and I thought someone stuck a bomb under it :o I was shitting myself. Very relieved when my mom came back to the car after what seemed like an eternity
