Sorry to upset you by saying people are able to control their weight. It's not that difficult to get your calorific intake below your requirements. For the vast majority they just aren't motivated or don't care enough. Sure give them a diminished agency then they can blame something other themselves.

This isn't a thread about overweight people making excuses.
Although I know a few bad gamblers who inherited their "disease" from their parents, including one whose family had to sell their family home 3 times to pay for gambling debts. He owes €10,000 and is unemployed at the moment.
Coincidence, or inherited behaviour from 18 years of training during childhood?

These trolling attacks are generally a sign of chronic insecurity, where the attacker can't understand why other people have self confidence to wear what they want and they don't.

There's usually plenty of bullying sidekicks who join in along the way too to back them up.

I don't find seeing an overweight person in skimpy clothes particularly appealing but I do find it refreshing to see someone who will wear what they like and be who they are regardless of what other people might think.
I wish that was the only kind of 'ugly' we had to see!
If I had to choose between being overweight or being concieted and demeaning to others, I would wobble around happily! thud thud thud :D

    you're doing that right now!

But it is one about degenerate gamblers? Seems like most of your posts are about trying make excuses or bad analogies.

what a stupid stereotype!!! overweight people are lazy and do nothing about their body...actually you are wrong.
I know and see a lot of people in the gym, being on diets and trying to lose weight very hard but there are things such as slow metabolism, water retention etc that you don't take into consideration

ps:a low caloric intake itself doesn,t make you healthy..it's how the intake is made of that makes the difference....

This thread is nothing more than a subtle way of exposing the fatties in After Hours..

A honey trap thread called FREE CAKE would be a better bet, I think.

    i'd say there's a pretty high correlation.

Pop Psychology: So I don't like looking at overly exposed fat people.. That means I have a chronic insecurity?

What's conceited and demeaning about it? Obesity is bad for you, it's not an attractive feature that someone has no control over what they put in their body..
"Wobble around happily" is just a terrible mentality. When people start dying off because off obesity, it will be frowned upon much like heavy smokers and alcoholics are now. I don't see why fags are bad but donuts are good.. If you do too much of either, you're gonna die sooner. At least I'm not an eyesore from smoking.

I should be surprised that a some posters in AH have diminished mental capacity so maybe I should spell it out.

Both categories, overeating and gambling fall under the category of addiction.
<take a couple of minutes for that to sink in>

Whether it's boredom, depression, lonliness, thrill seeking or psychological reward mechanisms, both issues involve someone self medicating themselves with "something" to make them feel better. That can be food, drugs, drink or gambling. And in the grand scheme of things, food seems to be the less destructive to those around them.

You call fat people lazy ?
What if they have an office job and 3 hours of commuting per day ?
Never mind any other obligations outside of work...
No, you really don't have a clue how other people live outside of your own daily routine.

It means you have enough intolerance and hate in you to start a thread on the internet about it, hoping for a few mindless sidekicks will thank you for it.

No, you really don't have a clue how other people live outside of your own daily routine.

Giving psychological or other reasons is just excusing people for being weak and allowing them to blame something other than themselves. If people choose to eat because they're bored or any other of the reason you game that's their choice, they're choosing that and being overweight over something else.

Your daily requirement is x, arguing over diminished agency over taking in more than that is just silly.

IMO it is concieted and demeaning to think that someone who doesn't fit your idea of attractive should cover-up to save you seeing it. I'm not saying you have to like what you see, I just think that every person is different and should not have to fit into ANY kind of idealogy.
They are fully free to flaunt their big bellies,
just as you are fully free to say that you don't like seeing it,
and I am free to accept both as each of your freedoms wether I like or agree with them or not.

Nobody here said obesity is fine..you are getting it wrong there.
I just don't undestand why you are being so nasty and judgmental of those that, despite being overweight, have no problem in wearing what they like.
Being self confident is very important in life...don't you agree?

and then again..let's say somebody is lazy, likes eating and drinking and all that..what is YOUR problem???
it's their life...you lead yours the way you like it!!

Apologies, you're right, you're one of the sidekicks.

I knew you'd come back with that after I posted.. Anyways, I agree with OP and I've given my reasons on the last page. Hardly a sidekick. Anyone who tries to defend being overweight is in my mind, completely in denial as to how bad it is for you..

And what are you on about with intolerance and hate? Those are big bad words to throw into an argument about attraction.

The weather has been so hot lately that anyone can wear as little as they like for all I care.

Although I've only been seeing women in long flowy dresses and far less topless men than usual.

there is no room in this world for the weak.!!!!
..let's get rid of them along with the gay,the Jews, the gypsies etc...

My biggest problem with this is that it's saying unhealthy is ok. It's very unattractive aswell but normalizing it isn't going to stop people doing it.. Have you actually read up the stats on this? It's becoming a massive problem and any defense of it is ridiculous. You might aswell try defend liver cancer from alcoholism.

I'm not being nasty and judgemental.. Fuk me, talk about on the defense. I made my points on the last page and they're perfectly rational.
My problem is that it shouldn't be accepted as normal to be unhealthily overweight.. By your logic, all drugs should be legal but they're not because not everyone can control themselves. Just like food obviously.

Ok, I hate to bring it up again but I'm not OP in case people think I am.. Similar usernames but that's it. I seem to be getting alot of anger thrown at me for little reason.

Your mentality is so stuck in a rut, that it cannot see the truth.
People are not looking for your acceptance.
They just want you to stop actively attacking them.

You have joined with Aids_By_Google in launching an internet attack on a group of people who have done you absolutely no harm.
It's worse than racism, because you're actively attacking Irish people.

Your intolerance screams of misdirected hate and frustration, and says more about you and the OP than you care to admit.

I'm not angry at all I'm quite calm and content. You're taking this all a lot more seriously than anyone else. Maybe you should look at yourself before trying to psychoanalyse me.

I just think it's silly that so many people attacked the op for stating his opinion as if these people had no control over their state and it was unfair to attack when they're essentially choosing to be like this.

I'm not sure why people have such a problem with this thread, it's not as if people have a hereditary disease or something. This is something people have complete agency over.

This all reminds me of a conversation between stressed out parents I overheard in a supermarket about a year ago.

He: Get those instead; looka....(couldn't hear the rest)
She: Listen, if it isn't covered in breakcrumbs and ya can't dip it in Ketchup then the little fcuker won't eat it.

again..I dont see anybody defending obesity..obesity like being underweight are not healthy.
I do believe you are being judgmental...it's my opinion.
The comparison with drugs makes no sense whatsoever.

if you are concerned about the health of the country why don't you mention how unhealty is being underweight?
why don't you post about how unattractive are people who are anorexic?

you seem to have a problem here only with the "fat ones" hiding yourself behind health etc

    btw..calm down..it's bad for you
