It's a treasure shooter for less than 20 euros. What's not to like!

It's one of the oldest Gamecubes in Ireland, I got it the day it came out in Japan all those years ago, and it served me very well. I used to have a rake of games, if I find any more I'll post them up to you. Btw aren't the JAP GC game boxes so tidy?

Haha, awesome! Could even be the oldest!

That would be super if you do!

Absolutely, I'll have to buy more as they'd look great in a row :)

    Right I'm after getting a Dreamcast :)

Console looks to be in good condition form pics but i can tell yet as I wont have it till during the week.

Got Chu Chu Rocket and Jimmy Whites Snooker with it and a controller.

So VMU first stop, then Samba de Amigo? :D

But i have a question, Should I go for a PAL collection or go for JAP and USA? I'm not too sure yet, any suggestions?

    Go for a CD-R collection

    >_>

    <_<

I'd love to be able to collect Dreamcast games..I just can't when all you need to do to play one on a console is download it and burn it to a disc without any sort of modification at all.

Yeah I completly forgot about that, But i have my heart set on a box of Samba de Amigo So i need to get me one of those! :D

Well the Dreamcast musts are (If you're into shooters) -

VGA box (Get one from a canadian ebay seller for 25 delivered)

    Dreamcast arcade stick

    22 inch LCD monitor

Dreamcast vertical shooter collection (Internets & CD-Rs)

    Rotate monitor sideways.

You now have the greatest thing on earth.

I find myself quite upset after reading this. Twas only a mere few months ago that I brought my previously stolen DC collection back from the dead, at massive expense thanks to Shenmue 1&2 and SKies of Arcadia.

I'm off to the nearest bridge.

Actually screw that, I'm off to burn Ikaruga!

I feel sorry for Sega. Eejits should have made it more difficult. They shouldn't have just relied on the GD ROM format. As a result it's harder to play pirate games on the Saturn than the Dreamcast. Makes no sense.

Enjoy Ikaruga anyway. The download is less than 20mb!

Though people should avoid burning the DC indie games that have been released in recent times, such as Last Hope and Dux. Hoping they all do well enough to prompt more.

Found a NES today in charity shop (compact version, has a "Mattel" branded sticker on it aswell as Nintendo) It's like a shrunken version of the normal NES. There was a better sound chip in this version from what i can remember.

Works fine, captain planet, mario 3 & some other crappy game:p

    Cost a tenner and a smile ;)

Cool, apart from the size are there any other cosmetic differences?

Unlike the normal Nes, the cartridge insert does not have an opening cover on the front. The cartridge just plugs straight into an opening on the front so you can still see it while playing games. I'd day it's about 30% smaller then the normal Nes and it looks almost exactly the same, same game pads etc. I'm sure some people would know it, probably would have been an end of production model. I will probably keep this one locked up and unused as it is pretty unique.

I only ever saw one of these "compact" Nes's before way back around 1993' when in a friends house. I always thought it was unusual. The sound is differant though from the normal Nes. It is higher pitched. Alot of long surpressed memories came to the surface when I found this yoke. Never thought I would see this version of it again 17 years later. Awesome stuff!

Ooooh. I think I have magazine envy after seeing that load of Edge issues..! I've managed to keep my urges in check to the point that I've only really ever filled in the missing issues from the first issue I bought in a shop (Christmas 2004, for all who care) to now and have been content with that, but those Retro/Equip specials always, always pique my interest.. again, oooh.
