    Gotta hate them.

Really, it's just the occasional bad apple that spoils the reputation for bouncers in general I think, cause what I find is that most of them are okay - but there's always the occasional one, and he has to act like a bitch on hormones.

    WTF!
Stay home, get a playboy or rent a blue movie, get a hooker if needs be.
They should just relieve their sexual frustration and stop making a nuisance out of themselves.

monthly bouncer generalisation threads are very general.

If the people they had to deal with all the time were not so sh1tfaced drunk and thinking they're bullet proof, perhaps someof them would be more tolerant.

Having worked on doors for some years, i can safely say its a tough job, not for the odd physical routine required in removing a roudy chappy, more because of the amount of shyte you have to listen to

I got turned away from a club last week, full of people outside. I turned to my friend, I said, "Look how they made me look. Like a bum, like a mammalucco."

Sure a man who can go toe to toe with Sugar Ray Robinson should have no problem with a few bouncers?!!

With respect, people have to listen to shyte in one form or another in their daily job. It doesn't entitle us to go power tripping.

I got turned away last week for a club a street away from me.
It had a its new indie night on, usually busy place.

Walk up to the door, dressed real good, but not like an indie kid. They guys with the door name clip board lean over to the bouncers and whisper "its a private function"

I nicely told him that its not a private function, I know whats on inside and I'm going on in to see someone. Bouncer steps to one side and allows me in.

Its not always the bouncers that stop you. Management often impose certain rules, dress codes and standards. They have to adhere to them.

Don't look at blaming the bouncers all of them time, look above them.
But saying that, some but not all bouncers can have a short temper. But if you were dealing with drunk people for 9hrs a night, you would grow tired of it after a while too.

Don't cause a fuss, accept it and move to the next place, or ask to speak to a manger. But DO NOT stand right beside the door waiting for the manager. That doesn't help matters.

10% of all people are a$sholes. Bouncers are people too.

Never had much patience for people bitching about boucers. Most clubs bouncers are told by managment who to let in , who not through an earpiece, while the management watches the cctv.

I stand by the door and tell the bouncers, or tell the customer.
    Easier.

Thats normally more common in big city clubs, in the local clubs, the manager / owner wants to remain Mr Nice Guy, so he generally doesnt directly involve himself with decisions infront of customers, when he gets a call the next day from little timmy next door's step sisters friend's uncle that got thrown out for trying to start a fight, the answer is simple.. "oh thats terrible, im sorry - the security is done privately, i cant get involved"

In my opinion this advice should serve you well.......

No.1 Make sure you drink lots before hand, you will enjoy night-club much better.

No.2 Bouncers have a grest sense of humour and like being playfully slapped, thats why they work as boucers. They particularly find it hilarious if you refer to their size, dress sense, intellect and their nationality in a ribbing way.

No.3 Normally night-clubs are not too fussy about your attire, however, I would advise you to wear.....white Pennys trainers, white track-suit bottoms topped of with matching white top and baseball cap. Add some flamboyant gold jewelery to guarantee entry.

Must be the most thanked man(?) on the internetz :P :pac:

Some bouncers are not so nice, most are sound, but you have to understand their job. I have seen bouncers getting bet, bit and abused for not letting people in for various reasonable reasons.

Don't tar them all with the same brush op ;)

Don't understand why people can't just move on to another club if you get refused tbh, there's plenty in Dublin. And if you're friends are inside they will come back out and go to the next place with you if they are really you're friends.
