Impressed at looking at how the human race has progressed so rapidly but shocked at how some can be left so far behind in the intelligence stakes, such as,

I'm pretty sure Google street-view was the last thing that had me going "wow!". Played on it for hours the first few days after I heard about it.

I went to a bullfight last week and I was genuinely impressed with how cool and accurately some of the bullfighters were in stabbing the bull.

These certain guys charge at the bulls at an angle and take a leap before ramming the two little pikes in between the bull's shoulders. Then they run off without getting gored.

It's gruesome but I couldn't help but be impressed with the technique.

The time I got a Club Chocolate bar that had no biscuit in it and was just solid chocolate.

Banana bar Amsterdam and one of the women working there wrote me a note telling me to enjoy my stay etc etc with a pen she had inserted (ahem!) and it was better then my hand writing..that was impressive:D

I was out for a run one day, and I saw a man stop his car in the middle of the road to let an old woman cross (no, the old woman wasn't me :p). I barely notice if someone needs to cross the road, so I was well impressed with his eyesight as well as his kindness :)

Ha ha! I wonder did she put that on her cv when she went for the job? I wonder if that's how she wrote her cv? Another question, how did she figure out she could do that?

I never knew pens could be so exciting! (one letter short of penis though, maybe that's the reason!)

Driving through Longford one day... it's the most illiterate town in Ireland & has a large population of African immigrants - not shocking in itself, but what was, is that someone had hung a banner off one of the bridges, saying; "NIGERS OUT".

Scumbags, was in Longford one day waiting to cross the road, there was a black woman beside me with her child of about 4 or 5 and some scummer walks by and shouts "WOULD YE GO HOME YE FCUKIN N****RS!"
    I was speechless..

What he meant to say was - the last time he witnessed the patience of a Spanish vet helping a Bull donate blood - despite the fact that it hadn't a rashers what was going on, or the fact that it might help the next Bull knocked down by Feeona whilst trying to cross the road, it was intent on not being a nice helper Bull - but the vet stuck with his brief and the units were got in the end ...

    ... isn't life subjective.

Phil Taylor's two nine dart finishes in the Premier league final last week. Legend.

    Actually yeah, this.

That's the most impressive sporting ("sporting") achievement I've seen in a long time. He nearly had a third (7 perfect darts) the very next leg after the second one too... Ridiculous!

:D That and what she could do with a banana and the speed at which she projected other things from it left me well imperssed:D

I had a new most recent one now just a moment ago. I was genuinely impressed by your disgusting ignorance and stupidity at being impressed by animal cruelty.

You lucky sod, I always wanted something like that to happen to me.
Got a KitKat once where two of the fingers were made up almost entirely of chocolate, but never have I been as lucky as you.

In the National Gallery of London. You don't realise how good paintings are until you see them

Even if it was animal cruelty it must have been fairly impressive. I know I couldn't do it.

My dad helping me with a science essay and still knowing all the formula, laws and rules off by heart 40 odd years after studying it. Hope I inherited his recall!

Nothing since 9/11 has shocked me. Our governments consistent incompedence, Paedos getting light sentences, the catholic churchs ignorance, some peoples stupidity as well as some really disgusting crimes all happen far too often for any one thing to shock me

I was impressed with the convenience of Sky plus, enjoyed Avatar and back in 2006 Resident Evil 4 got me back into computer games but overall not much impresses me these days. I actually believe that theirs far to much hype with anything new that by the time you get it it's guarenteed to underwhelm you, I think real innovation and exciting developments is a thing of the past and this generation is all about rehashing what we already have while just adding a few bells and whistles

I'm usually impressed by nature and beauty. When I see a beautiful part of the world that I haven't seen before, that always impresses me.

Impressive? That flash mob interlude thing in the eurovision this year....I was waiting for buckets of fail and instead, sat there with surprise!

Shocked? Not much shocks me any more....

I was impressed by the technique, it's not the same thing.

I was impressed by the aesthetic part, I put the moral/ethical part to the side.

It seems that nowadays everybody is kind of de-sensitised to everything. We've basically seen it all in the movies and nothing really impresses/shocks us anymore.

    What a load of cock.

That was fairly amazing all right! No more public transport needed for that lady.

DMT really impressed me last time I had it.

    Great stuff indeed!

Obama becoming US President despite the obvious hurdles along the way was impressive.
Michael Phelps/Usain Bolt destroying the competition.
The 2nd Lions Test 2009 was outstanding as was last years All Irl hurling final.
Pacman/Mayweather anytime they fight despite the very obvious contrasts in style.
Last weeks Turkish Grand Prix with Vettel trying to kill Webber&the duel between hamilton&button.
Dan Henderson knock-out of cocky Michael Bisping in one of last years UFC Middleweight bouts, was awesome in its nastiness (he hit bisping again on the ground when he was clearly unconscious)
The enduring excellence of Roger Federer/Rafael Nadal
Lionel Messi getting a hat-trick in three consecutive games (including his virtuoso display vs Arsenal 2nd leg of champ lg)
