I don't get that way either but I have a friend that does. He can get paranoid that the other people in the room think he's a dick because he thinks he's not talking, even though it's pretty much impossible to shut him up.

If your feeling insecure, youle feel more insecure. the heavy stuff weights on your mind.when your buzzing on drugs, and you start getting parinoid, yada yada yada.

Now if your ina good happy mood well then youle be boucing around having fun or at least doing something sitting on a couch smoking 6 spliffs one after another is no fun and very boreing.

That sounds more like alcohol than anything. Weed makes you happy, it doesn't really matter what mood you where in before, same goes for most illegal drugs. LSD and Shrooms can be different your going inside your own head. It's not bad unless you let it be.

People should also consider whether they are smoking indica or sativa, resin or weed etc. they have different effects.

When I was in Amsterdam about 10 years ago I smoked a REALLY strong joint of strong weed and my sight tuned out. Thats the best way I can explain it. Imagine being relatively fine, in fact relaxed (I wonder why) but my sight was like someone had strapped teeny tiny TV's, tuned to white static "snow", to both eyes. A bit freaky but not "frightening".

My understanding is that its a huge drop in blood sugar but I dont know that for sure. They gave me very sweet water and I was fine again in about 10 minutes with my sight slowly recovering over the first 5.

Marajuana is psychoactive. Its a chemical you are introducing to the most complex chemical-based computer ever conceived without really understanding what it does in there. I think it would be safe to say that across all the people who have consumed it, quite a number of rather bizarre outcomes must have occured.

Computers are based on electricity. If you introduce extra electricity into the system it tends to have disastrous consequences. Thankfully brains are more robust and have better fail-over responses. But we shouldnt be surprised if someone's particular chemical make up renders their response more severe and arbitrary...

Anybody ever drank a feed of pints, only to discover later that they've p****d and s*** themselves. Seems to happen a lot with regular heavy drinkers. The body shutting down and all that.

I agree with you to an extent Dev. We know what cannabis does in the brain to an extent-THC binds to cannabinoid receptors in the brain and there is a subsequent release of neurotransmitters, which effect certain neuronal processes. I think the effects can be subjective, but within a narrow range. Despite the different levels of THC one might encounter (which is within a small range) the drug is pretty safe, it has a risk factor of 1:1000, alcohol is 1:10.

I wouldnt argue the health implications, its been done to death anyway. I think the nicotine is much worse then the marajuana personally.

I think you have to accept that explanations like "subsequent release of neurotransmitters, which effect certain neuronal processes" is like saying "the subsequent release of electrons, which effect certain computational processes" when you jam a live wire into a motherboard!

Technically its true but who the hell knows what happens in reality.

All I'm saying is that to be realistic we have to accept that pumping a chemical into the worlds most delicate chemical computer, willy nilly, is bound to have some side effects on various people. I cant see how that would shock anyone.

However, such a reaction is not "typical" from what we can tell.

Outside of places like the Netherlands such info is kinda hard to determine accurately unless one knows a grower they can deal directly with.

It was/is hard enough to determine accurately the active ingredients in headshop products FFS

If I'm stoned in a room full of people and everyone is so stoned that they're really quiet I often think people are laughing so much that they are out of breath from laughing that they're not making any noise but are still hysterical and then I look around and everyone is not laughing and is really quiet and stoned. So I kinda hear things.

I was fortunate to enjoy some good stuff (we called it roasted chicken - the taste was the same) and it worked on my hearing in very similar way as Aldous Huxley describes mescaline influence on his vision in his Doors of Perception.
I didn't see or hear anything more than what was already there, but the perception and sensitivity to certain noises, voices and instruments was altered. Since then, I really love sound of electric guitars and sitars

And one huge difference, I have never caused any social problems (loud talk, loud laugh, falling from the chair), what may had happened when I drunk a bit of alcohol. At least my mates say so. I don't, I don't know anything about such behavior under the influence of alcohol. Thanks lord I already don't drink more than 14 years now... :pac:

Never really suffered any negative effects from it. No hallucinations/hearing things etc.

I personally believe that there are much worse things available than it (alcohol does worse things to you and tobacco in terms of health implications).

I feel I will probably end up reiterating a lot of things said, but in general, I've never suffered anything bad from it.

no very rarely get that ****ed to be honest, even shrooms dont make me hear anything.

of late, i've been getting a much higher standard of weed and sometimes ive been kind of, in between normal stonerness and full on tripping. a nice experience, if you're into that sort of thing.

eating weed can cause all sorts of tripping though as the thc reacts with you're, liver i think, and if you get the measurements wrong you could well see and hear anyhting you want.

im just counting the days till i get my hands on some DMT. not long now

I experenced that one day my slef when i smoked some thi stick with my dads b&B clients.. all i can explain was a white star in the middle of my vision I was mashed went for a shower then proceeded to cook one of the best soups ive ever cooked..

Being honest its not nice to be that mashed you cant do a thing..

Rapists are more likely to be alcohol users my friend, alcohol has been a factor in a vast number of rapes, murder and serious assault.
There is no scientific research indicating psychosexual violence can be attributed to cannabis use, none. If anything cannabis has been shown to have the opposite effect to what you describe.
