A few people have asked why ben didn't go into the church and the response was that he wasn't ready or wanted to see his daughter. Surely the reason Benjamin Linus didn't want to go into the church was because he murdered Locke who was in there.

He apologised and was forgiven. I think he wanted to make amends with the frenchies and any other people he'd killed over the years before moving on.

Yeah that's kind of what I mean. He knew he had done too many bad things and maybe wouldn't be moving on to the same place.

Hmmm Purgatory?? Doubt it, Sayid is supposed to be a muslim? Dont think they believe in that, just another unsolved mystery eh!

Ok just finished watching it from Sky+. Initial reaction is a bit confused. Think I'll think about it.

It was a great Tv show but there was some amount of sh*&e going on the last 6 series.

think i'll try and read through some of these 700 odd posts, lol.

Locke killed his father, his daughter and the whole Dharma Initiative. He needs more time to atone.

Only complaint is the absence of Mr Eko. I hear he wanted too much money.

That and the reason he was written out/left was because he didnt get on with Terry O' Quinn

The building they were all in at the end seemed to embrace all the faiths judging by the room that the coffin was in.

Absolute utter pile of ****e, it was if the writers were writing as they were going along, all I can say is what???? Im still lost.

I honestly think the last season had no meaning and was just done to hurry it up and get it over with, there are hundreds upon hundreds of unanswered questions .

My guess at the moment as to the whole shows point, is its a bet between two brothers, possibly god and satan, betting on the good and bad in people, the folks are brought to the island to be tested like in prugatory, in the end they pass and go to heaven, great.

But why does the plane fly off and Claire, Sawyer, Kate, Frank, Miles and Richard get away, are Claire, Sawye and Kate the ones who are dead and the rest alive, because didnt see Lipidus, Richie and Miles in the church, did Kate, Sawyer and Claire just disappear.

Absolute load of bollox, I wish I did like everyone else and gave up at around halfway through the fourth season, having to go through all this just to see Jack bleed to death watch a plane take off, ****E!

Oh sweet Jesus. Will someone plaese explain what just happened? So many questions.

What about eke, michael and his son, Chinese looking guy on the plane etc.

When did they all officially die? It makes no sense.

Well watched it earlier and was a bit worried that it was all a dying mans vision, but just watched the last 10 minutes on RTE 2 and get it now how everything happened on the Island and the flash forward was a type of Purgatory for them to all meet up again and remember their lives, I started bawling watching the last 10 minutes again as it all made sense, as with most Losties on the various re-unions that took place particularly Charlie and Claire, Sun & Jin , Syiid & Shannon and Saywer & Juliette and also liked Hurley when Charlie opens the door and Hurley can't stop grinning. Overall I'm happy with the ending and give it a 10 out of 10 for doing what Lost does best !

Nah if you see a screenshot you can see it's actually the Oceanic plane from the colours.

It doesn't matter what you believe. If you're a Christian and when you died you came back a dog I'm sure you'd realise you were wrong and accept what actually happened.

Michael died on the freighter. Walt went back to the real world and lived out his days. Miles got off the island and went and did whatever. What he did after is irrelevant really.

You should either watch it again, or just read this thread. Almost everything you said there is either wrong or has been explained.
Not saying you have to like it, but try get it right before you decide.

Ive watched the show intensely, bought the box sets, rewatched it, read everything about it, so Im pretty in the know, and what I have said seems to be the most logical conclusion, and yes things have been answered(the things we didnt give a **** about), but more things are still unanswered

didn't the creators say that it wasn't about time travel and it wasn't about purgatory or limbo or anything like that, they lied.

They said the island was not purgatory. That is the truth.

em, I was just talking about the last episode. You seem confused as to what happened.
I'm not telling you everything was answered, just what you posted was very wrong.

um, ya know the point is that they werent 'all dead' and their appearance in the church was the point they were at their most important time in their lives? the plane escapes and sawyer, kate & co. live the rest of their lives out. ben & hurley obviously go on and have great success in their new roles, i presume they let desmond leave to find penny. Jack, the glue that held everything together, dies saving the day as the glue was no longer needed and jack had his own individual role to fulfill.
there is a great amount of depth put into how the whole thing was put together, and, due to the fact that its a mystery show, we were again left with a few mysteries and these all important "unanswered questions", but thats the nature of the beast :)

i think the questions the show raises at the end are far more important then the answers they give you on a plate. there is a whole spectrum of questions that it asks of the viewers and i think, like the characters, its the confidence to find those answers that makes this show what it is. very very clever writing (im not one who thinks they had it all planned by the by) and they covered a heck of a lot of ground. a few anal retentitives will try and rain on the parade and go on about hurleys bird or something, but they are also the ones that want to put limits and full stops on everything, that wasnt the point of Lost
