That's photoshopped, it never crossed the line.

I'll never forget that as long as I live!

What a day of sport I've lined up for today! It's only half-time in the Championship Play-Off Final, but it's been an absolute cracker! The Champions' League final's gonna be poor in comparison!

Id say they are about 12/1 - 16/1 to survive and 1/50 to be relegated.

Good for them at least we will see a new colour of shirts in the PL next year.

With the money they'll get to strengthen now, anything could happen. Anyway, that's not really the point, that one season in the premier league is the experience these fans would have been dying for, after so long in lower-league obscurity.

Delighted for Holloway...especially as Ridsdale is with Cardiff and I hate that smug...person (to put it politely)!

i love seeing smaller clubs in the premier league. ten years ago, youd have been laughed at if you said blackpool, fulham, stoke and wigan would be in the top flight. its a shame owen coyle left burnley, otherwise i reckon they would have survived. oh and jose mourinho is a legend! he should take over utd when fergie retires.

Waterford senior footballers bet Clare senior footballers 1-10 to 9points
Waterford are now playing Limerick in 2 weeks! The day before Waterford hurlers will beat Clare hurlers asses :)

Ooh and hurlings proper starting next weekend with Galway playing Wexford Saturday evening and Tipperary playing Cork on Sunday

    Yay championship!! <3

That game has a draw written all over it. Waterford are the up and coming side who could do something in a few years and Limerick are going no where because they are a good enough to get to round 2 or 3 of the qualifiers but there is a lot more teams that can and will beat them.

Tbf I dont think Waterford are going that far, okay Im not much a football follower but I dont think they're that great. If they manage to beat Limerick in the next game thats their winning done for the year, they havnt a hope in the munster final or in the AI quarter finals!
But Im a real pessimist when it comes to football...

Waterford had a good league campaign and I believe they got promoted. They are on a good run and will be confident after beating Clare who aren't that bad at football either. Limerick could have done alot more than they actually did a few years ago and because of that they are on the decline and it didn't help that the hurlers got to the all ireland final a few years ago. I am still thinking this game will be a draw but neither sides are not going far after the munster final unless they get lucky in the qualifiers draw [which is unlikely].

I don't mean to be pessimistic about Waterford football as they're a good team.
But I think people are underestimating Limerick basing them on their league performances. Yes, they won division 4 but they didn't sail through it as one would have thought. It just shows that Limerick are not a league team. They never really play well in the league but seem to reach some bit of form come championship.

Home advantage I see for waterford from reading the GAA forum.
Yes, that is important but attempting not to be biased, I'd say Limerick will defeat Waterford by 4/5 points.

Did what I just write make sense? :P

Limerick have been consistently poor in recent years they should have the munster title a few years ago which they didn't. The don't seem to be going anywhere and as soccy mentioned the league form wasn't great but it counts for nothing. I actually don't believe that for the simple fact that they are a league 3 or 4 team and momentum is worth more and is a bit more valuable for the league 3/4 teams than the 1/2 teams

    Limerick going no-where???

Munster final result last year please unknown?

Yet how can you give Waterford an "up and coming" status after having a good league campaign (Limerick winning the division btw) yet say that Limerick are going nowhere?

And by a point. Unfair penalty given by the ref so tbh, it was a very close call against Cork.

Soccy, I really don't want to get into a massive argument about this. I have said that I would give waterford a slight edge because they are a up and coming team and would be imo hungrier. It happened to wicklow last year and could happen to waterford this year.

I have also said that I think this game is going to be a draw and I still think that.

it wasn't an argument. It was a friendly debate :)

Ah maybe so. Seeing as waterford do have the extra game behind them and home advantage.
    we'll see on the 6th.
