I've ten days between my last and next test. Pretty annoying seen as now that it's pretty soon, I'm out of study mode.

Had MS2003, same paper format as last year, defo have passed it I reckon! Nailed a couple of the questions, so happy out - MS2001 is my final exam Wed week!

Had Advanced Topics in IS today - going through my class notes last week I came across lecture notes which I'd marked down the lecturer as saying "Topic definately in final exam" - guess what didn't fúckin come up :(

Should get through it but sickened that in my last two exams the topics I've spent alot of my time studying haven't come up - still covered other topics but with final year exams I can't really afford to just be scraping through...god I hate bis :(

Tomorrow is my final exam. :D MS1001.

It shouldn't be too bad, I enjoy algebra and equations which makes up most of section A. Not very strong on trigonometry but I will still pass it.

    Sure is :D

A quick off-topic question. Are you given attempt marks for a question if you can not complete it?

Some lecturers do, some don't - but I think they do for MS2001, afaik! But I wouldn't be 100% sure

If its Tom Carroll or Anca, they'll give you all the marks they can. They're lovely, two of my favourites of the maths department. Plus Tom Carroll hates having to write the repeat paper so he hates people failing.

Exam today went okay, might have passed. The exams are really killing me this year. Another really hard one on Thursday :(

HI2001 Ireland, Europe, and the Wider World a.k.a History core.

Went fine. Not bad, not fantastic. A question I was banking on coming up - Victorian England - didn't show (after it being on exam papers for 5 years ffs!). I got questions done on the Black Death and French repercussions on the German Revolution. All in all, was alright.

My only exam is this morning at 9.30 - Introduction to Politics. I only started studying 12 last nite - surely the sullmeister cant pull off another all niter miracle escape?!

Was hoping for that question to come up too! I was not impressed when it wasnt there. I didnt do too great in that exam I reckon. Had a complete mind black out. The minute I walked out of the exam hall all the information I had forgotten to include came rushing back. so annoying. :(

Oh well.. only one more to go! Romance and realism next tuesday. Should be ok considering they told us exactly what topics are coming up. I need to do some serious power reading of Frankenstein today!

I'm going to f*cking shoot Cosgrave for that.

    What questions did you do?

Black death, Slave trade and the self government and land tenure in Ireland, Canada and Australia. COmpletely ****ed up the last one because I wasnt really expecting to have to answer that. My question choice in section B was totally limited becasue of the lack of question on Victorian england. Ah sure its done now, so there isnt a whole pile I can do about it now! :o Hopefully with any luck I passed anyways!

Very excited about next tuesday evening at about 6 pm. Going to be free!!!

Last exam tomorrow at half 9 in the Mardyke and have to say I can see the finish line which, instead of making me push on, has slowed me down study wise...done fúck all today :(

    I need a montage!

For some reason I just havn't been able to bring myself to study for my exam tomorrow. :/

Any time I've sat down to do something, I've just given up.. Yesterday while studying, I decided to get a Tolstoy novel out of the library and start reading it. I don't study anything to do with Tolstoy. :/

And earlier I went up to Super Value to get a drink. I saw that 8 cans of Heinekin were 12 euros. I'm now on the first one.. :s

Exam ain't til 4:30 though, so alles gut! :D

Whoopsie. Wilhelmine Germany was my third one; forgot to mention it. Did you do the exam too?

How on earth you did the land tenure one's beyond me. I tried studying it but unusual for me, it was mush in my mind! I'm sure you'll do fine. :)

    You're tragic grenache. Tragic.
I did it though. Ooohhh yeeeahh! Workings of and proposed abolition of PR-STV came up as did The Concert of Europe/Balance of Power 19th Century. Had both revised to a tee :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 902 ✭✭✭Cows Go µ

Computational methods at 4:30 :( The notes are unreadable on blackboard and the classes were terrible. However, this is my last really really hard exam until next Friday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,944 ✭✭✭Jay P

I had Introductory Physics II, PY1053, just there. The fact that it was a three hour exam and that I'm here now pretty much sums it up.
I may have done enough to pass by compensation...

I'm just glad my most difficult exam (German language) is over and done with! Now all I have left to do is German literature which is alright.

I've had more coffee in these last few weeks than I've had in my entire life. Half the time I feel like Tweak from South Park.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 902 ✭✭✭Cows Go µ

Yay! Computational went well! :D It was one of the ones I really didn't want to fail. Only 5 left now, 3 of which are easy :)

Might be a bit off topic, but can I just say that if you want to hang around and have a post-mortem with your mates afterwards, can you please to **** do it OUTSIDE. Especially in big places (the Mardyke or Neptune), where there's a bottle neck of hundreds of students trying to get out one or two doors. Dopey ****ers standing around in groups of five or six in the middle of the room when everyone's trying to get their bags wreck my head, I want to get out of the place as quick as possible (I don't like crowds of people much and I smoke), so do a lot of people. And don't give me a bloody aggrieved stare if I accidentally jostle you. See that door six feet to your left? Beyond it lies a world unconfined by walls and ceilings, where people can avoid you when they're being pushed along by the sheer volume of moving bodies behind them. And no that doesn't mean RIGHT OUTSIDE the door :mad::mad:
