Are these the lizard men, or Nightingale? I get confused with all this.

No, not at all. Just an extremely influential group of people from all over the world meeting for a chat in Dublin. Brian Cowen even turned up to give a short opening speech but was not invited to attend the actual meeting. Do you not find it odd that you never heard about, that there wasn't even a passing mention of it on the news?

    I did hear about it.

So not that odd at all. What was decided at this meeting that meant it should have been on the main evening news? Was it something more pressing that the major oil spill, the volcanic ash, the economic struggles of the country, the teenager's body that was found in the bog?

Well there goes any credibility she has.

Libertas are a bunch of clowns. Do you think if there was a big conspiracy going on they'd be the only ones smart enough to figure it out?

Also I suggest everyone reads the FAQ section of her site. It really shows how often she gets consulted by the public about anything.

    I never said you didn't.

What was decided at the meeting? No one really knows, no press were present and it was..emm.."behind closed doors".

Ah be the hokeys so you were!

So tell me now.... why was this meeting more newsworthy than anything else that was going on that day? What was it about?

Cause I can list off several meetings that went on that day that I have no idea what went on at.

And if Libertas woman was in the middle of the meeting surely she knows what it was about? Maybe we could ask her.

If there was a big conspiracy of media... wouldnt Boards have been contacted and forced to silence this discussion??

How are they going to control Twitter, Facebook etc? I just dont buy it...

    After Hours is indeed different.

except when it's a Gerry Ryan self flagellation thread.

So let me get this straight....

The Rand Corporation...in conjunction with The Saucer People.....under the supervision of the Reverse Vampires met in Dublin to discuss their plans to force our parents to go to bed early in a fiendish plot to eliminate the meal of dinner?

    I miss anything out?

Yeah you would say that. Nice try. You're obviously in on it and letting this thread go to pretend that boards isn't in on the whole thing.

    G. Ryan must have been one of the main players in the NWO then.

If a random person posts on boards, facebook, etc its treated as a rumour/conspiracy, etc.

If it's reported on the news it's immediately accepted as the truth.

Plus a lot more people watch the news.

But what besides the fact that this meeting took place would they report?

You yourself admit that you have no idea. This Libertas clown claims she was in the middle of it but I would bet that she has no idea what they discussed either and her claim of being in the middle of it are probably nonsense.

how about that some of the most high profile people in the world were visiting the country, or that there was an address by the Taoiseach at this conference where he discussed the current economic situation.

So we do know what was discussed or just what Cowen discussed with them?

Cause Cowen has lots of meetings with people that don't make the news. And I'm sure he talks about the economy with lots of them.

Because our political leader was addressing them which makes it an official engagement.. that, added with the fact that they're some of the world's most influential minds when it comes to economics.. and with Ireland in the state that it's in atm I would have thought it was somewhat newsworthy

You shouldn't base your argument on the fact that some of the people which hold an alternative viewpoint may or may not be "nuts".. there's probably some fancy Latin phrase for that

It was in the Irish Times as Billy The Squid has linked to above. So the "media blackout" talk is nonsense.

So RTE didn't report on it but the Irish Times did. Last time I checked the Irish Times were hardly a niche publication.

So is there or isn't there a media blackout on the meeting cause it certainly doesn't seem like there is from where I'm sitting.

They'd hardly have asked the leader of the country to meet them if they wanted the whole meeting to remain a secret. And as a private organisation they're under no obligation to inform the media about what they've been discussing.
