i heard it happens more in st pats and juvenile institutions than the adult prisons

Moral of the story, If you get in any sort of late-night altercation within 10ft of a chipper you'd best call yourself a taxi just in case. Sure the food might be great but they attract "hard-man" scum like no ones business at that time of night.

Yep, the next "pole" he'll be up against will be fleshy,veiny and making a b-line for his rusty bullethole. Lucky boy. I hope he likes wearing lipstick too btw.

Forget life sentences. Personally I'd like to see that he got a screwdriver through the balls and then then a phalanx of steelcaped boots to the head until he wasn't anyones problem any more.

The lad found guilty was out robbing from an industrial estate on the day he murdered the two Polish men. By 11am he had consumed a cocktail of drugs and alcohol. He then got a screw driver, from a moped, he had stolen, that very same day and went and repeatedly stabbed two men through their brains causing their death. Whilst out on bail he repeatedly got arrested and breached his bail conditions and partied on drugs. Anything less than the maximum possible setence for this lad is a travesty. Does anyone honestly think a person like that will EVER go straight?

I am shocked that his accomplice is only getting off with assault causing harm. Its highly unlikely he didn't know that Curran had a screw driver and he didnt think twice of kicking the Polish men in their head AFTER his accomplice had repeatedly shoved a screw driver through their brain, he went out to murder and should be done at the very least for accessory to murder.

Also why the hell isn't the girl who created false alibis being charged with obstructing justice? Why aren't the other girls who threw bottles at the Polish men being charged with anything?

Read in the paper that Sean Keoghs family were smiling at him upon hearing he will only be charged with assault causing harm. Means he will be out in less than 12 months and re offending again.

I'd like to see a Guilliani style system. 3 strike rule, 3 non minor offences and you go to jail for a mandatory 5 years.

Its amazing the lack of correct information on this thread. The prosecution put the charge of assault causing harm to one of the co-accused and he plead guilty to that.

No doubt the jury were wrong as well and the information garnered from the newspapers gives a better picture than having listened to all the evidence in Court.

no you heard all the evidence that was admissable in court. there are many rules of evidence which preclude certain types of evidence, that doesnt mean they are false.

if you think only what comes out in court is whats true ask yourself who was al capone.

I find it shocking that they actually followed the Polish guys to their house. There is just no excuse for that!

As questioner said, if he gets concurrent sentences then that will be a joke. Sure, he might as well have killed 3 people, or 4 people, it will make no difference to his sentence.

These guys will never contribute anything to our society. And I'd say the girls, who played a huge role in the whole thing, will end up being disgusting welfare scroungers with 5 babbies to 4 fathers, swearing at their kids non stop and turning them into the next generation of David Currans.

Someone who's angry and lashing out, doesn't aim for the temple with a screwdriver and land it spot on, twice in a row.

They're all animals.

Life should mean 'in prison till your dead'. Sympathies to the families of the Polish guys. I read the gory details a while ago and what this guy did is like something you would expect from rwanda or somewhere barbaric like that - totally sickening.
