A crane kick in the final round of the All Valley karate tournament 25 years ago where i defeated my opponent Johnny after picking up a knee injury. He developed a new found respect for me and even presented me with the trophy. What a moment.

Dublin something or other hurling medal for warming the bench/ground when I was a tubby 16 year old.

Actually I think beating a bunch of Americans in my first attempt at fantasy american football was my finest hour in sport.

I won the gold medal at musical chairs in 6th class Sports Day after a controversial re-match caused by the teacher accidentally pressing stop on the tape player and the other finalist sat down. Much like the 1966 World Cup final where 11 minutes were added on in over-time.

Not much of a soccer player I must say but got roped into playing for works nightleagues team where the stuck me up front where I wouldn't do to much damage to my own team...scored a lovely goal from outside the box in my first game, lobbing the keeper with a volley.

Beating 10 year olds by making up rules as you go along doesn't count.
Kinda hard to do what when I work for their official strategy site..

Unfortunately there was no one home to witness one of my finer moments. :(

Oh well, I have the stamp to prove it!

    Here are a few:

won the county u16 championship and got player of the year in gaelic.

Won Ulster u18 league and shield double in rugby.

    Captained my college rugby team.

Got my black belt in Tae Kwon do.

But my favourite moments from sport are when my former college rugby team gets together and has a night out or a challenge game. Those guys are awesome.
