We're saying it's true cos Miriam OCallaghan confirmed it? Is that an official source? Have the family been informed?

One says he died in Leason st - the other, in his apartment!
I await official confirmation - not posters onto those sites too.

I hope it turns out to be just an error. If not...RIP.

It's never pleasant when someone dies. But what's worse is the amount of people who seem to be following Miriam O'Callaghan on Twitter.

You know, if this is true, I for one will miss Gerry Ryan. I found him to be a loveable character with lots of charisma and seemed to be very intellectual. He will definately be missed by most, he was an icon to say the least. I actually feel sad now :(

I really hope AH can have a bit of decorum at this news.
Never a fan but he was a human, and not a bad chap, and has family and kids who could be regular posters.
    RIP

Apologies. Yes he's human and if true then RIP. I wasn't a fan of him whatsoever but I know a lot of people are so I'll hold my tongue.

It's AH, it's ok to joke about dead people, raping children and the likes... don't worry about it.
    I'll take the opposite view.

    Any perticular reason?

I am just interested as to why people have such a hatred/dislike for people they more than likely never had a conversation with. Of course he has his views and the likes, and I didn't always agree with what he said, but I found him to be very fair and as unbiased as he could be.
