I like eddie hobbs he does a lot of charity work. However I thought him very consending and rude tonight.

Yeah because ive never seen him on T.V since the celtic tiger era, came across as quiet a bully who knows his reputation is shot to pices as evedience by the audience clapping against him tonight with a remaark by eamon ryan.

It's nice to see Eamon Ryan & Eddie Hobbs on the Frontline together. It would be nicer to see them on a frontline, however.

His entire philosophy can be summed up as thus:

[Cark accent]Consolidate all your debts and get a loan out of the credit union[/Cark accent]

Eddie knew better than the pertochemical chief, the nuclear physicist and the electrical engineers.
    Eamon Ryan knew nothing.

The sooner we get the greens out the better.

I think Hobbs ruined his reputation with his "hard soft landing" forecast for the Irish property market. However, I LOVE the vitriolic way he attacks the public sector at every opportunity. He is forgiven in my book for doing that

The Greens are repected political party, who pulled themselves up by the shoestrings, from the gutter & made a success of themselves.

Eddie Hobbs is the Michael Moore of Irish television. Spouts a load of half truths and very warped statistics.

He got his ass handed to him on at least one radio debate by people who knew what they were talking about, despite the likes of that drip Matt Cooper trying to give him an easy run. He also outright refused to appear on a live TV debate at the height of his popularity - I suspect it was because he wouldn't be able to stand over his "facts".

Lol, that guy in the audience had Eddie under serious pressure. I was respecting Eamon Ryan a lot (he impressively knows his stuff, in general!) until he started giving stupid political answers towards the end. He's not a leader but he makes a good cabinet man, imo. Also, PK needs to stop talking over people so much! Same ol', same ol', Pat! Let people talk, ffs! At least he's in something that suits him a bit more than the LL now.

My mother has a cabinet in which she keeps the 'good plates & glasses'. They are taken out once a year, when Christmas comes around. Those cabinet contents are more useful than Eamon Ryan.

Look Eddie's human - and economic predictions/investments can be as unpredictable as sport.
