    Hi Guys,

I was wondering what your take is on using such weapons... Everyone knows that war is hell, and people die, but I would like to see your opinion on the effectiveness of such weapons on the battlefield... personally I think they are very effective.

They were aweomse in the early versions of Worms, but I felt they reduced their effectiveness in later versions.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I think they are barbaric and should be banned. The cost of cleaning them up is outrageous and children are attracted to the bomblets.

Yes, the simple minded approach again... can I ask you sir, have you ever been in a war zone?

I'm sure they kill a lot of people.
Why not bring out another A-bomb?

The old ones that dropped mines are being banned and phased out. It's mainly the SFW smart cluster bombs that are deployed now. If any bomblets are left over un-exploded is unintended but it is the failure rate of the bomblets.

Some of the SFWs WCMDs for anti armor uses are very impressive in their ability to target vehicles exactly.

What has that to do with anything? Does one have to have been in Hiroshima when the bomb fell to have an opinion on whether nuclear weapons are acceptable?

Cluster bombs obstruct economic and social development, impede post-conflict rehabilitation and reconstruction, delay the return of refugees, negatively impact on national and international peace-building and humanitarian assistance efforts, and have other severe consequences that can persist for many years after use.

That explains why Gary Glitter spent so much time in vietnam.

Ah the "have you ever been in a war zone? no? then you don't know what you're talking about" approach. Reminds me of an Ed Byrne sketch about parents...

You asked for peoples opinions on the matter. He gave you his. Simple as that. If you wanted to discuss your points with experts on the subject of cluster bombs then p*ss off to another forum. God knows why this sh1t is allowed in AH in the first place...

Stats show that Mr. Tar Aldarion spends most of his time over on the games forum, notably posting about "Battlefield". I'd say the closest he's got to a war zone was by leaning up to the screen on his PC.

Setting the sound setting to "War tapes" makes it that bit more real you know.

    That's a bit like asking a soldier "What's your Kill/Death ratio"?

    :pac:

Whatever. The closest you've ever got to a cluster was a box of Nestle cereals.

It's a petable, lovable young bombling for sure.

Give me a good few scoops of Guinness, mixed nicely with a tasty curry and I'll show you 'real' cluster bombs the morning after.
