Maybe before you start looking outside the box you should just concentrate on the simple basics of what is happening inside your own box first. Baby steps.....

28 Dec 2010 Christmas Bank Holiday

Looks about right to me. Although personally I'd have named them the opposite way round, the 27th and 28th December is correct for the Christmas Day and Boxing Day Bank Holidays.

    Thread fail.......

your thread is making this site look stupid, if you had half a brain you would realise that the bank holidays are in bold and have "bank holiday" wrote after them the other ones are notable date and have "notable dates" wrote after them!!!! You googled to find out bank holidays and that site told you exactly what you wanted to know, why your feel aggreived baffles me??????

But threads like this is why i love After Hours:D

Since when do we celebrate Queen Elizabeths Birthday or St Georges Day!

Since when have they been bank holidays anywhere ?

Even in England most people probably dont have a clue what date they fall on

Nearly everyone posting on this thread has missed the point entirely or are ignorant... THE POINT IS THAT THIS SITE SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDING UK NOTABLE DATES! It has nothing to do with us!

    Who cares?

Goddamit! He's right!! How can we be expected to run a country free from British rule 90 odd years on from our independence when they have included NOTABLE BRITISH DATES WITH IRISH BANK HOLIDAYS ON A UK WEBSITE!! Somebody call the IRA, turns out we're not independent yet!

    Get over it.

On an aside, don't you think the more worrying thing is that Christmas is on the 28th of December this year?
That refers to the 'Christmas bank holiday', not 'Christmas Day'.

But it does to people in the North, and honestly who gives a flying fcuk?

I bet the op sits around fuming at the thought of those bastard English pagans coming over here poisoning our shpuds, all while drinking Tetley's , watching Eastenders and wearing a Premier League jersey...

So put 'Irish Bank Holidays 2010' into Google and the first site that comes up is this one:

    http://www.bankholidaydates.co.uk/HolidayDates/year/Ireland/2010.aspx

So I visited, and have never been so disgusted in my life with the sheer ignorance if it!

Since when do we celebrate Queen Elizabeths Birthday or St Georges Day... amongst others!

    MUPPETS!!!

If you say so, but we don't have a Public or Bank Holiday on the the 28th (neither do the british). We do have a Christmas Public Holdiay on the 25th. Also, Boxing Day (our St. Stephen's Day) is not on the 27th. I think the site's just wrong.

Now that is just spamming at its very very best not everyone is perfect at spelling you know, myself included!

OP chill out and relax, if you ever went onto flikr or something similar, i'd imagine you'd be looking to commit suicide (after how annoyed you got about this) when you search for some stuff on there, people tag lets just say "popular words" on there just for the sake of getting hits, i can just picute you brain exploding when you type something then it send you to a photo that has nothing to do with your search :pac::pac:

P.S. did i ever mention that this thread has failed....i wonder did his return button look like this just as he was about to press it?

Life must be sweet on your planet if that's all that concerns you. Ever consider that the listing covers all holidays/high days for the island of Ireland. Very noble of them really!

    Get a life!
