Are Irish women picky?

if your not Irish they love you and if your Irish its like you speaking to a brick wall. I'm not saying all of them are picky but damn they make you work for it.
When i was in England a few years back the women over there were great and not too hard to score with.

Even in a poll a few years back Irish women were chosen as the pickest women in Europe.

So why are they so picky?

i.e i'm not ugly before you say it:D

No i'm not bragging but i get a fair few women;)
But sometimes i've been in the firing line of some pretty rude irish women who don't like it when your nice to them:D

But i travelled to a few places and women like it when your outgoing and fun but with irish women its about looks and what money you make. I might get hate with that comment but thats what i've seen a lot.

Yeah!!! Another one of those, I'm single threads and no fucking Irish women will look at me. Try going out chatting up women. It's not that there picky, they just don't fancy you, but sadly you'll find one that does!

I don't think their picky, they're just not as easy as English girls ;)

Well, one of them is going out with me - and I'm no beauty.

I actually agree and I'm a woman so think I'm allowed to say that!!

Wags have a lot to answer too - a lot of girls I know are wag wannabe's and won't even look at a guy if his clothes/shoes are the right labels, hasn't got a nice car, or good job to keep them in hair extensions, fake tan/sunbeds and bicardi breezers!

There is a good point being made in this thread, Irish lads can get a ride very easily in any other country. Irish women would seriously want to tone it down a bit though, wag wannabes will find themselves 60 years old and still single with an attitude like that.

Yep sadly you can see it in Dublin night clubs right now every friday and saturday night. My friend wore a suit out one night as he was coming home from a wedding and i swear he was surrounded by these girls thinking he was a big somebody:D

    :D Its the irish accent

You need to tan up and adopt an Italian accent so :p

But seriously I do think it is a case of being attracted to someone that stands out, be it an accent or a look or whatever.

These girls in foreign lands you speak of are probably as picky towards their own nationality as we irish are.

Definitely, there tends to be a nasty attitude that I have not seen anywhere else. Groups of girls (from one side of the liffey in particular) tend to get off on besting each other in bitchy comments to any poor young fella that plucks up the courage to go over and say hello.

These little cliques of girls are usually seen tucked into a corner on the dance floor or hogging the bar. Any attempt by a male to A) Try have a chat / score B) Innocently get to the bar / casual conversation, may result in bitchy comments much to the pleasure of the rest of the simpering muppets.

They are also usually seen tottering around like baby giraffes on roller skates with smudged mascarra and holding back their BFF's hair whilst they puke.

You may hear the usual boards replies of "we just want to go out for a good time with out female friends without being bothered and drooled over". Yeah thats fair enough, its also fair enough to assume that just because you are female and in a group that it does not give you the god given right to be as bitchy as possible!

I had the displeasure of working in a nightclub that used to harbour such female groups and funnily enough you notice that those particular wimminz who practice this behaviour regularly tend to be the gals who end up all alone spinsterish!

I've always had bucket loads of confidence (and I'm a bleedin royid too). But I can only imagine the negative effect it would have on a bloke lacking confidence.

My brother in law is italian i might get a few tips from him:)
i just feel Irish women just probably want to escape their normal life and escaping it isn't going to happen with the Dublin guys they see every day of their life.

You don't see too many men at it unless they're gay. In any case most men just want a ride, so none of this crack of taking the piss out of women or groups of them unless there ridiculously ugly!

    Well said.

I've seen guys crushed by these girls nasty comments but if you offer them a drink they will use you as far as your money runs out. I always found as i worked in a nightclub too that they will chose the guy they been using all night or pick the nearest guy near them who would seen as he's so drunk he'd meet a broom stick:D. its become more seen now then it was a few years back

I know quite a few italians myself who would also say irish women are picky. As previously mentioned. It's not where your from it's about how you portray yourselves to them and how you can benefit them. Ridiculous I know but it seems to be the way it is.

I was in McGowans a few weeks ago and there was this fugly bloke in his 40's, flashing the cash, fancy suit letting it be known he owned a bar and basically bul****ting out of him. BUT, fugly as he was, he was fighting the wag wannabe's off with a brush

Knows this is a childish idea! :D

Not every Irish woman's objective is to find a man. Personally, I'd rather be 60 and single than 60 and with someone I'd settled for!

Sadly its Ireland in the 21st century, these girls think money will buy them happienesss. Even if it means loving a fugly but i blame the papers and shows like Big Brother for thinking sexy women only need to bag a rich man and thats all their good for.
