Well as long as none of you want Chemistry then I hope you pass with flying colours. Otherwise icon13.gif:D

Actually studied chemistry today and at times liked what I was doing... But inorganic was always an ol' flirt! :P Had to remind myself why I put it at the bottom of my JS choices.

I don't hope any of you guys fail, I just hope I get genetics and to hell with the rest of ya! :D:cool:

The library is waaay to packed aswell. Got a fair bit done this evening at home so after tomorrow's tutorials might stay at home to study.

Ha! Yeah I hope everyone gets what they want, it'd be awful to be stuck doing something you didn't like! The more I'm studying, the more I'm realising that most of the stuff we covered this year was actually interesting!!

Haven't a clue! While looking at the results (and being nosey) I saw that only one person failed and most of the results were above 60.

Not sure. I *think* 5%? I know if I do well I'm going to wish it was worth more and if I don't then I can console myself by saying "oh well at least it wasn't worth that much".

    Wow! Well done!

So, second years. Any tips/hints/forewarnings for those of us about to sit our first set of TCD science exams and hopefully move into SF year?

Timing in the exams obviously. Know before you go in how much time you have per question etc. Just be warned the RDS is (for me anyway) a terrible exam hall. Too big or something. I've only 2 out of 10 out there this year. :D

I'll leave any further tips to people who didn't have to repeat half of their exams.:D

GlasnevinRed- I'm doing geology and all of the biology modules except 6 and 10 :)

Can't really think of any good advice except bring something warm like a jumper to the RDS, I thought it was freezing last year!
Write down whatever you can think of about the question, even if you think it could be wrong throw it down anyway :D

Haven't a clue. I've already studied Kelly's stuff so considering studying Prof. Dev's stuff and then some neurophysiology but not sure how safe it is to leave the others out.

What you doing for Cell Structure or are you just covering it all?

Yeah I probably will try to cover it all just incase...not really very well prepared for that exam at all!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 71 ✭✭seacláid-te

Maybe they will like they did with neuroscience. I had no idea Genetics would be so popular! How are you getting on with studying?

I'm sure they would have told us by now if they were gonna increase places :(

Em not so good to be honest. I do Chem & 8 Bio's so I've the 5exams next week... Just focusing totally on those til I get them over with! Writing a micro essay at the minute... ick!!

    You??:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 255 ✭✭JC06

Doing geology myself so have a lab exam for that this Friday so I've been just trying to do some stuff for that  Doing the same as you now though and just concentrating on all of the exams for the first week. Maybe we'll all be lucky and get what we want!

I'm thinking of leaving out Colm Cunningham... seems kinda hard! I did one essay on neurotransmitters & that's it for his stuff me thinks!
Is anyone else leaving anything out?
