It could, but it won't!! There will be a bit more flame baiting and someone will get angry and then it will be locked.

This is a thread that belongs in a Scobie Forum.

Of course I wouldn't kick a car that had a union jack on it.

Well I'd agree that his actions were stupid. As for someone been in the car - well he box's for the Irish Ropes Boxing Club at middle weight and has won 3 Leinster titles, been beaten once in the All Ireland final. So let's say he can look after himself.

I just noticed this.....so did it happen in New York? or do you mean he used to box for them, unless there is some irish ropes boxing club tucked away somewhere in Ireland that I don't know of.

Your mate is a hero. Another great blow struck for Irish freedom. Men like him are an inspiration to us all. Keep fighting the good fight.

A mate of mine was telling me that when he was on his way to the pub last night he came across a car with a Union Jack on the back window so he kicked the wing mirror off the car . Now I told him that although I obviously don't like the sight of the Union Jack but it was taking it too far altogether to kick the wing mirror off. He of course disagreed and my other mate agreed with him that to have the Butcher's Apron displayed in Ireland is asking for trouble.

So what's your opinion folks ?

If someone kicked the wing mirror off my car, for any reason, I would slice their foot off. If you want to behave like pondscum you'll just have to suffer the consequences.

Play this to your mate when you see him next. I think he'll enjoy it.

He might kick the laptop, just to be consistant.

To answer the OP of course your mates behaviour is acceptable, the same way that a British person on seeing a car with a tricolour on it in the uk would be perfectly within his rights to give it a good kicking.

No I'm not a ****ing gimp. Butchers apron

You'd swear anyone in Britain had anything to do with ancient shi1t that as not affected us personally. Maybe the person driving the car was of West Indian, South African or Indian heritage? Who knows?

Not like Oliver Cromwell himself got a ****ing time machine and brought himself to to the 21st century, bought a Union Flag to put in a ****ty little car with an easily broken wing mirror just to piss off some sad individuals that can't get over the huge chip on their shoulders.

Well ( and I'm not making an excuse for my friend ) there are many in Britain who indeed had something to do with Ireland and has affected many Irish families personally such as the ' heros ' who murdered 13 people in Derry, shot people and children dead with live and rubber bullets, tortured nationalists in barracks, assaulted more at checkpoints etc

Roughly what percentage of the armed forces would you say that constitutes? Now what percentage of the population do the armed forces constitute? Now, what's the statistical likelihood that your mate kicked the mirror off a car belonging to someone responsible for anything like that? Now, what's the statistical likelihood that your mate is just a bigoted dirtbag?

so does that mean that all British people are equally guilty? For example, would all Irish people be as equally guilty as the cowardly ***** who murdered children in England by planting bombs in rubbish bins on shopping streets? Or as guilty as the scumbag you've named yourself after who ripped off the taxpayers in this state to feather his own nest?

sorry slab, your mates a scumbag and there's no defense for what he did. If he wants to make a point, get him to buy a house in a unionist area and vote sinn fein. Course, it's easier to talk ****e down the pub with the rest of the hard men, and sadly for this country, plenty who'll entertain him.

The only cars I've ever wanted to kick the wing mirrors off are ones parked in cycle lanes.

In part I'd agree with, but I was just pointing put that it was wrong to state byCherup rock " you'd swear anyone in Britain had anything to do with ancient shi1t that as not affected us personally " when there are plenty who were in British uniforms carrying out violence in Ireland, but that's no reason to kick the wing mirror off a car.

I think he meant in Britain today, not British people in the past.

Of course what happened in Derry was carried out by scumbags, every army will have some dirtbags in it.....but for the british army to give a nationalist republican a good kicking when they have him in custody for attempting to kill them??? If the shoe was on the other foot I would be laying that shoe into the head of whoever tried to blow me up!!
