Banega would be a good signing for a 442 formation, to play alongside Fletcher.

I've heard a lot about him, what style of player is he exactly?

Carrick-esque, but better. A CM that does it all, can defend/tackle but great on the ball - great passer and great vision. good strike on him too.

Sounds decent I must look out for him. Just looking at his stats, perhaps would like to see him get amongst the goals a little more.

I saw him for the first time the weekend, lots of energy and in your face type player, he seemed to have a good pass as well. I'll be keeping an eye out again when Valencia play.

Banega, Modric and Benezma please. Anyone got a spare €60million

Maybe we could finagle some kinda swap deal that included Carrick for Modric :)

Yeah, Carrick and Berbatov for Modric and Bentley please. Not everyone will agree on Bentley but i think he's a good player and has done well for spurs when played of late.

Gunners lost - hate to admit it but title in the bag for Chelsea me reckons.

It was already in the bag for them tbh. Though, as Boggles says, if Chelsea were to lose to Spurs at the weekend, and United managed to get a win at City, the title would be back on imo.

However, I don't see Chelsea losing, and I don't see United winning. But thats me, isn't it!

Nah Modric is over-rated and Bently isn't good enough.

Banega, Di Maria and Gourcuff please.

Or we could ask for a refund.

I see it the same, even if Rooney is back City are in good form home and away. They'll be well for this us knowing a win will rule Manutd out of the league for good.

I would bet both Utd and Chelsea will not win their last 4 games though Chelsea would still have it most likely. I would fancy Pool to deny Chelsea 3pts at Anfield if Torres is fit.

Bentley maybe but Modric i can't make my mind up on him yet. I thought he had good game tonight against Arsenal, always moving the ball forward and going pass a player or two. Thats what we miss and need badly next season.

    +1

Although, if we get a win at the weekend against citeh who knows what the pressure might do to Chelski. They looked very shoddy against Bolton and if it hadnt been for JT and Drogs getting away with volleyball tactics they probably would have dropped points.

Yeah but I think he's a good player, just not our quality. Then again would walk into our midfield right now.

I honestly dont think Spurs would sell to Manutd not after taking Carrick and Berbatov. SAF rates him highly, Redknapp has said so himself.

I would think maybe Aston Villa, Newcastle, Sunderland.

    this made me laugh
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stepped up his efforts to recruit French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as a long-term replacement for Edwin van der Sar.

Ferguson will have the 23-year-old watched as his club Lyon play Bordeaux on Saturday after identifying the French international as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe.

The United boss has been consulting goalkeeping coach Eric Steele about a replacement for Van der Sar and is expected to try and tie up a £15m deal with Lyon before the World Cup.

The French club are unwilling to negotiate until they have played their Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich - who are looking to sign United's other target Manuel Neuer from Schalke.

lol at price tag, you'd think the dailymail would at least make the story somewhat believable

Can't help feeling that ever since AF criticised Ref fitness and referring standards earlier in the season, he's made the team a target. Chelsea were playing basketball against Bolton and not even a sniff of a penalty was offered. Still, I'm not making excuses for some sh1te performances and a couple of players who should be fcuked out the door.

I just have bad feeling about city game have feeling Tevez will have blinder.

If we do win though I think Spurs can get us result against Chelsea. Then pressure would really be on the Blues.

Would be 2nd most expensive goalkeeper of all time, not exactly an unbelievable price.

so you think 15m for one of the best keepers around atm is a realistic price ?

Yes, it's a lot for a keeper, a position which is always risky, transfer wise.

I reckon it is a good deal but it is not as if you would expect to pay any more than 18-20mil anyway.

backing up the article you wrote i see ;)

how is it risky, we know how good Lloris is, going to be one of the best keepers in the world soon (if he isnt already)

buffon went to juve a few years ago for over 20m, Lloris should be priced in the 20 plus bracket (maybe 25m)

I dont understand your thinking tbh JPA
