First Single: Take That - Love aint here any more

First album - was probably Take That as well, I'm not sure. I do remember the first CD I ever bought though - The Soundtrack from Baz Luhrman's Romeo and Juliet.

First Cinema Experience - The Little Mermaid for my 7th birthday. They're might have been ones before that but it's the first one I can remember.

Never bought a single (No need to buy singles when you could tape them off the radio, that was my reasoning!)

How was I supposed to do that when radio's with tape decks weren't avaialable? Yes I'm old :(

I remmeber my brother in in the late 70's and early 80's taping stuff from an LP to cassette and everyone in the house had to be quiet or we would end up on the recording :p

First album I bought myself-Natalie Imbruglia-Left of the Middle. :o I fancied the pants off her!

I lived in the country, cinema was too far away when I was a young lad so had to wait for things to come on on video. :/

I was born in 1978, therefore it's mandatory that my first album was Bad by Michael Jackson.

First cinema experience: Mary Poppins, Lee Cinema, Cork. Dragged my dad out of there once the giant bag of Opel Fruits (old name for Starburst) was empty. I was three or four.

First cinema experience where I actually sat through the film: Neverending Story, a cinema in Warwickshire, England. I was six and totally mesmerised by that film - still am. The horse sinking in the swamp - still makes me blub... :(

I had a combined radio/tape unit (portable) in about 1973

Also made uo a special lead to plug headphone socket of one tape machine into microphone socket of 2nd tape machine. Isn't it so much easier now.

OutlawPete, I hadn't researched the subject, but I had a mental picture (!) that you were older....

But, on topic, hmm, let me think....

My first cinematic experience I remember was when they rereleased Lady and the Tramp, maybe in like 86 or 87. I know Land Before Time was the first one I saw with my mom.

I bought some of these recently and they taste horrible, they look like Opal Fruits but they've changed so much. Opal Fruits used to be sooooo juicy :(

    Do they still sell Chewits?
