    No it wont, if you can use it on the mucous membranes of your mouth you can use it on the genitals. It's designed to soothe chapped lips, it wont be an irritant, maybe you're just allergic to it. In that respect it's an acceptable lubricant, it damages latex though so shouldn't be used with condoms.
