The Vidic stuff stuff ws more than a little tongue in cheek by the end.

You calling Neville a "f*cking waste of space" was something that I found shocking from such a normally steadfast united fan tbh. No matter how badly he played he deserves better than that.

so now its tongue in the cheek, bit more than that I reckon
    concerning my quote on nev
that was heat in the moment, I wouldnt be nev's biggest fan, he wouldnt be in the same bracket as giggs or scholes but a legend no the less but he was brutal yesterday.

    Not really.

United have some veterans alright who still can do a job.

Giggs is still more than worth his place look at his assists recpord the last two years its as good id nt better than anyone in the Premier League.

Scholes too, while not anywhere near the player he was is still a useful olayer to have in midfield, he is still far and away the best passer of a ball at the club.

And Neville is grand as a 4th choice full back, which is what he is at the moment. A great lad to have around the dressing room.

Your abusive comments directed at club legends such as Giggs and Neville in the match thread were appalling yesterday, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.
Neville struggled yesterday. Was very poor on the first goal and was lucky not to concede penalty after that.

As I said in the edited part of my post you have a most unsavoury habit of turning on United players in the heat of the moment. You must be a nightmare to sit beside during matches tbh. Think before you post on match threads would be my advice, you do yourself no favours when the blood's up.

The personal nature of your posts do you no favours either. You'd swear I was a United legend having an off day the way you speak to me.

Neville struggled badly yesterday, so did Scholes, do did Giggs, albeit to a lesser extent. They can still play a squad role, I agree, but Neville has been at fault for two key goals in two key games, I don't see how anyone could defend him. How I'd love O'Shea back.

I think Carrick, sadly, has to play against Bayern. I really do. It's gotta be him and Fletcher in the middle, with Park in front and Nani and Valencia on either wings. We gotta hope that he steps it up, because frankly, Scholes doesn't have the legs to compete in the CL at this level anymore.

sorry but Giggs did not just have an off day yesterday ,He was fcuking brutal and has been for most of the season to be honest ,The amount of times he could not complete a basic pass yesterday was beyond a joke .

"A poster like Flah" is borderline personal HS.

As I said I'd refrain from the aul matchthread posting from now on if as you admit you are incapable of judging things down the line therein.:)

This chap comes to mind on match days tbh.

ah no if I wanted to be personal I would of said character.

so posters come in backing my opinion and you still think my opinion was crap ?

flah you need to better at this, you've dropped the ball recently being over shadows by some posters. chin up anyway you'll get back to form.

the old guard was brutal yesterday and have been very poor this season, I think the extension of a contract is blocking players coming in from the reserves etc also you mention nev as 4th choice name the players ahead of him out of interest ?

    just saw this

besides the recent berba form am i wrong about rest ?

you call carrick a donkey yourself, I dont see the difference

sorry you have to be over 18 :p

raf was on the bench in the last few games, I think a better player than nev but still doesnt get a game

does that not prove my point about the old guard blocking players ?

People agreeing with you doesn't make you right HS. Hitler had his suporters too. Millions buy Westlife albums. Several people still think Villa are going to come fourth. Half the country votes Finnan Fail no matter how bacdly they f*ck up.:pac:

Bottom line, putting your faith in the opinion of the masses to back your own one up is ill-advised.

I don't even have a problem with people thinking the lads are past it anyway. But the way you chose to express your views yesterday reflected very very poorly on you as a United fan.

    Yeah, it actually does.
Neville's experience would be the only reasoning with SAF going with Nev recently, and tbf Nevs been in good form recently.

Let's face it, I wasn't at all under the impression that we were going to win tomorrow, not without Rooney. We just don't have the quality in the squad that Chelsea do imo. I think under any other manager we probably wouldn't even get 2nd. SAF is the one thing keeping it all together atm. In saying that, he fúcked up yesterday.

We need some world class talent coming in during the summer. I'm happy Giggs/Scholes & Neville are in the squad, but they can't be first choice next season.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,092 ✭✭✭Le King

I think we are in serious need of 2-3 midfielders in the Summer. Two central players, one prominent, one as cover and another winger to replace Giggs.

Sorry guys, Giggs, Scholes and Neville aren't doing in any more. It's all well and good the odd ball that they give with precision, however the mistakes are woeful and cost us a lot of the ball yesterday. It's time to move on, the bus is full, no passengers.

Carrick needs to get back to his best or he needs to go. Our defence is fine. Just worry a little if VdS needs replacing during next year.

I still think we will win the title this year. But we seriously need some investment in the summer. Squad looks unusually thin lately.

Defour, Hamsik, Di Maria and Neuer please.

*I hope this whole post isn't an overreaction to a 2-1 defeat by Chelski

I think when Giggs and Scholes start there is usually a lack of urgency/energy in the midfield. As much as people bash him, I think Carrick, Fletcher and Park would have been far more combative in midfield against the likes of Lampard and Deco who like to have some time.

Also, Benzema again linked to Man. United and Milan in the summer.

So that'll be him staying away from United, thank God.

Here's my take on it...giggs, scholes and Neville are still class acts...but at their age it's hard to show it for a full 90 minutes. They are more prone to mistakes now than ever before. There was a recent match where I watched scholes give the ball away about 10 times. Giggs annoyed everybody in the closing stages of the match yesterday by lacking in concentration and giving the ball away when we wanted to attack. Neville is a yard or two off the pace.

I think carrick might have benefited from being dropped...he was a liability against bayern and he needs to stand up an be counted for the return leg.

In truth, man utd have been poor this season and the fact that we still have a chance to win the league, after 7 defeats, is startling. I'd nearly
go as ridiculously far as to say I was offended by that first half performance yesterday. It lacked in just about everything that we come to
expect of a man utd team...and what's worse is...because of the bayern game the previous wednesday...we came to expect it. What changed in the second half that suddenly people were tracking back and chasing balls? There was no reason why that shouldn't have been happening in the first half.

Oh and an unpopular opinion here...Valencia is not good enough. His complete lack of a left foot, even for a
simple pass is embarrassing and it got
    him into trouble again yesterday.

And what annoyed me most about yesterday compared to other seasons...was our bench. Totally uninspiring. Has the talent from the youth system dried up that much? Let's be honest here...Neville and scholes
should be retired by now...the fact that we are relying on them is not
good for the team and also their legacies.

the only really good game he has was ac milan in the 2nd leg other wise I think he has been poor, I would have brought raf on yesterday, at least try to bring some life to the RW because val was very poor yesterday but nev wasnt helping him at all.

Fabrication. Why would I call a player who's alive and well a dead horse? If you're going to attribute false quotes to me at least make them plausible.

Everyone says things in the heat of the moment HS, but you do it week in week. It gets to the stage where you have to start to doubt if you're as loyal a United fans as you would like us to think.

    Perfectly legitimate point.

Calling him a "useless waster" is a pretty obscure, no to mention disrespectful way of articulating that point however.
