Bored of cinema/pub dates.... any ideas???

Anyone got any ideas for dates? Me and the gf always either go to the pub/dinner or cinema? Surely theres something better to do? All ideas welcome...Im in north dublin but can travel anywhere!!

How old are you?

There's shag all for people to do in the 30's socially anyway, I can tell ya.

Cinema is about the best of it.

Places be full of kids.

Load of us went to an 80's night last week in Wax / Spy and we walked away without going in as everyone in the queue and smoking area outside wear eating Liga.

ps .. the 'Travel Anywhere' makes you look like swingers

Date nut bread is perfect as a light dessert or even breakfast. Perfect with coffee, this date nut bread recipe is sure to please!
Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 55 minutes

Ingredients:

2 cups all purpose flour

1 cup sugar

Preparation:

In a large mixing bowl, mix together dates and walnuts. Pour boiling water over date and nut mixture. Set aside.

Grease loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray or shortening.

Add dry ingredient mixture to date-nut mixture. Mix well. Spoon into loaf pan.

Bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour.

Cool for 15 minutes. Serve with your favorite coffee or tea.

Im 30 and your right cinema is pretty much as good as it gets. Cheers for the other suggestions guys

I went on a date recently and we just walked around the history museum.. it turned out well and im seeing her again soon..:pac:

So you could try that but theres fcuk all to do on a date in ireland!!!!

Its practical, you're giving a little back to the community (or even taking away !) and there are lots of different groups and like minded people to help you get started

Best thing is, it's everywhere

And tbh OP, it all depends on what you and your girlfriend are into. One of my ex-boyfriend's took me clay pidgeon shooting on a date and I LOVED it.

The Zoo is a good way to spend the afternoon too. It doesn't have to be warm either, just dry. Theater is a good idea, new Grand Canal Theatre just opened up so have a look at what they're showing and pick something, maybe go for a drink or some munch before/after. See a comedian at Vicar St? As I said, all depends on what you're into.

Comedy club? , bowling?, theatre? , camping?.
Friends of ours went to cookery classes together,said they had a great laugh ,got great food had a few drinks not for me but different strokes etc.

Think it was this one ,they said it was in howth.

Theatre, gig, art exhibitions, wine tasting, roller skating......
If you actually put your mind to it, there are plenty of things to do in Dublin. Try living in rural ireland and look for something else to do. There sometimes isnt even the cinema option

I'd pick Horseracing, and ive absoloutly no heed in gambling/horses but i was at the Navan Races recently and it was almightly craic and the Girlfriend loved it
