Adult 1: Why don't you believe in God?

Adult 2: To keep it simple, I'll say it boils down to not seeing the difference between a white bearded supernatural entity called God and a white bearded supernatural entity called Santa Claus

Adult 1: OMG! How dare you liken my precious beliefs to those of a child. I am deeply offended and will be suing you under blasphemy legistlation and will laugh when you are fined €25,000.

Adult 2: On a related note, What did you give up for lent?

    Adult 1: Chocolate

Adult 2: I am sure your Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for your sins and whos alleged resurrection you celebrate in a few weeks really appreciates your chocolate sacrefice in his honour. I appologise for any offence I caused with my earlier comment. I didn't realise you took your faith so seriously......

Nothing. I've actually drank more over the last few weeks. Nothing to do with lent, which is one of the more ridiculous customs of Catholicism.

I recall reading somewhere that apparently one reason for lent was the harvest of the previous year used to run a bit thin at this time, so to take peoples mind off it the notion of self sacrfice came in.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

Ah, so another pagan ritual is adopted by the early church to make the transition from godless heathen to mindless devotee that bit easier. That makes a lot more sense than 'give up **** and video games cause Jesus died on the cross for ya.'

I heard smoking and too much alcohol is bad for length (both of time and distance) so maybe I should think about giving those up.
