    Is the next series following Emily's little brother and his clique? Had heard rumours of it going stateside as in back to the first series cast but I don't think they'll go that way somehow. I'd love if they brought the writers from the first two series back, much wittier and more original, the tone of the last couple of series has been very up and down (seems to have evened out in the last half of the series though), and a little bit petulant, I miss the wit of the first 2:(

    I'll still be looking forward to the next series though, don't think there's too much I'll miss from this lot of characters like I did from the first group, except Jack O' Connell, I think he's the best actor of the lot by far (helps that Cook was one of the most interesting characters)

    I'd say the next gen will follow Freddie's sister (even though she's meant to be older than him, they'll probably just conveniently forget that - poor writing or what? They should have had a link planned from the get-go)

    yeh it'll have to be james or karen, if they stick with the brother/sister format. i dont know if james is too young as effy was young aswell in series 1+2, but they made her fit in agewise. karen seems too old as didnt one of her friends get married??!
    they have the auditions information up on the website and they are roughly looking for a bunch of 16-18 year olds, so maybe it will be james fitch??

    Cook is an arsehole anyway can't see how people like his character, very annoying imo.

    That ending was just a depraved load of bollocks.

    What happened to the Skins with at some credibility and continuity? The only "shock" factor with Skins used to be the fact that the people involved were very young to be doing what they were doing, and it was all a bit OTT also. But now it's not just a bit OTT, it's shock TV for the sake of shock TV.

    I am done with Skins now... I mean it this time.. It's just gammy TV. And the music used to be good, now its kak. It frees up an hour in the week for something more worthwhile.. Breaking Bad is back next week!! Huzzah.

    I'd say Freddie's sister will be the new lead, but honestly its gone sh;te since the 1st series

    Lost its edge-factor, and I'v outgrown the characters, where I was the same age as cast when it first started, was a bit relateable

    It's just that they are weak characters (and bad actors).

    Being able to relate to them wouldn't really be an issue if the show was stronger. Such as the first gen.

    I really don't know why I continue to watch this bollox, but seriously, that ending was fcuking ridiculous. I mean, really. Talk about bad writing, spoiler:
    Why did Freddie even go to the shrink's house in the first place? He very clearly told him to fcuk off at the hospital? That was very, very bad writing

    It was just horrific, I mean I've found the scenes to do with Effie's mental illness fairly traumatic as well but seriously, that ending a) scared the **** out of me,
    did we really need to hear the bat breaking bones and all that?
    it's supposed to be a teenage drama series, not a badly written horror-melodrama and b) was so poorly, poorly written that I pity the cast of the next series if they have to put up with that bullshít.

    Can just imagine the series ending:
    Freddie's sister pestering Cook to find him all through the episode, Effy has a moment of clarity and the shrink lets something slip and Effy runs to Cook who happens to be with Freddie's sister and tells them what happened, Freddie's sister starts screaming and series end. Of course the question is never raised about what happened to Freddie's body because that would complicate the screaming, even though Effy will be in the house seeing the shrink. Complete and total bollox.

    Personally I find that Effy is quite a bad actress.
    Compared to anyone in the first gen, she can't act to save her life (

    IMO he's been on e of the standout actors of all 4 series, I agree the cast of the first two were far better actors (and 100% behind you on Effy - has she done anything more than sulk and look dark and "mysterious"?), I think Jack O' Connell is right up there. When I started watching the 3rd series Cook really, really got on my tits, first all I wanted to do was give him a good twat over the head but as it went on I realised I couldn't stand the character cause the actor was so good...and instantly fell in love with Cook:D:D

    I can't wait to see him in more stuff, I hope he doesn't change his accent!!
