supplimenats - how long on / off

    hey

    anyone any idea is there a time on how long to take protein shakes or is prolonged useage bad ? .... basically im seeing the results i like and have my diet good, needs a few tweeks but is there need for a rest period from the shakes?

    They're not steroids so you dont need to "cycle" them.
    Take a break from supps when you start to get fat!

    There is no need to take a break at all. Protein supplelements should simply be thought of as another source of the macronutrient and not something that needs to be cycled. Would you take a temporary break from apples or peanut butter? Ok, a crude example but just think of it as one option in a wider list that spans cottage cheese, beef, chicken, fish etc. Tweak the diet to your liking.

    i agree with the two lads there.
    the only thing i'd cycle would be creatine.
    i cycle it according to my 5/3/1 programme so usually its 3 weeks on and one off

    it's just a personal thing.
    I find that i respond better to it that way.
    it;s also recommended on some creatine products
