And they didn't make an order for maintenance against the husband?

No it went totally wrong for her.I guess she was at fault for not been prepared but you dont think you are going to lose everything and the kids.
And she is a lovely woman. She endured alot and even tried to make things work with counselling.
My whole problem is they took her access from the children she was with all the time.

is she hot? A few kids so she is obviously riding. brummytom could be her rebound ride if he hurries.

if this is true, we're quite obviously missing alot of the story. kids are not just taken from their mothers in this country, unless something is seriously wrong.

    i smell BS.

This suggests a lot. They only reduce access like you describe when there is a risk to the children.

Please! We are a social welfare state - and before the debate goes down that route also - there has to be more to this story than is being told!

    Q. Where is the girls parents on this matter,
    Q. Why are they not helping?
    Q. Husband/Partner - maintenance?
    Q. Who side is this version of events coming from? (A friends side? Biased? Leaving out certain details not advantageous to a possible fuller story?)
    Q. What mother would be so stupid as to not fight for her children by every means possible? And that includes allowing a state free appointed solicitor?

She was earning money as she did work while children were in school. She lost her job applied for legal aid and there is year waiting list. They went ahead without lawyers.Any judge should not have let happen.
    Her parents are dead.
He lied and said he had been paying. But now no longer as he has the house and kids so she gets nothing.

They took access of the kids away from her because she has no home now!

What she didn't know that she shouldn't mention the crack cocaine she sells and that she lets people use her house as a brothel? Those are about the only reasons a judge would take the kids and house from a woman in an Irish divorce case.

At least she hasn't to worry about negative equity. Or Power Rangers.

as a trained Citizens Information Officer, this would never happen, there must be a lot more to this, even if she was a walking header, she would still have a better chance of keeping the family home, and the one hour a week with the children, nah this is poppycock.

So if you're renting or staying with friends or relatives you're unfit to see your children?

    Nonsense.

    In fact more than nonsense.

    Aboslute rubbish.

I call the biggest shenanigans possible on this story.

Was the woman a banker? In that case it all makes sense.

well it won't, because tbh i would never be stupid enough to go to court without legal representation. also, there would be no reason for my child to be taken off me.

OP, when you heard this story, were the last 3 words "Purple Monkey Dishwasher"??

Unless a link and/or more accurate detail, I'll take this "tale" as pure useless gossip.

Fathers rights in this country are an EXTREME joke so even IF this story was true - there would have to be some EXTREME circumstances as to why such a thing would happen!

IF true - there is more to this "tale" than is being told.

Never heard of a good liar turning it all around on the innocent.Never happened ever in world.Or the good liar who gets off with murder.

How do you know. Not like has to be good reason for your child to be taken off you just the better liar ;)

Those things happen but bear no evidential relationship to this so far "gossip" case.
Are we seriously to believe that the press wouldn't be all over this like a rash if there wasn't more to this story?
Are we seriously to believe that the case IF TRUE - hasn't been examined in detail by the judge, solicitors, social services checks and reports submitted (of father, mother and kids)?

well tbh i'm not married or in a relationship, so it couldn't happen :D

caseyann, you don't need to believe this story either you know, it is pretty unbelieveable. you can't know the full story because you weren't there to witness everything that has gone on in this couples relationship.

In Ireland you have to be legally separated for 5 years before you can apply for divorce.

And you think this would have been accepted in court without evidence of bank statements etc? Bullsh*t. My parents are separating at the moment and they are both providing bank and credit card statements going back 5 or 6 years - and there's no children under 18 involved. Furthermore the stuff I've heard both of them come out with in the last 18 months is unbelieveable, I know they're lying because they're my parents, but god knows what stories they are feeding their friends
