Ahh balls. Just looked at when last years exams were, probably near same spacing this year.

    Foundation Physics- Friday Morning
    Biology 101 - Fridday Afternoon
    Biology 102 - Saturday Morning
    Chemistry 101 -Monday Morning
    Chemistry 102 - Tuesday Morning
Maths Methods - Wednesday (one week later) morning

Question to the oldies, how different appart from it being earlier this year do you expect it to be? When are the timetables out?

Hey just wondering where you got this and what time the maths exam was last year? :)

Well, for the past decade or so, TCD has booked a large exhibition hall out at the RDS. Large exams with hundreds of people tend to be timetabled out there. They book the hall for a week. In consequence JF TR071 exams have always been timetabled on top of one another in recent years.

I am not aware of any reason why this should change.

It seems pretty fair to me.

Biology has a little more reading to it then chemistry and at least they don't break the subjects up.

Any idea if that's usually in the first week of the exams?

It is, as far as I can recall.

    More background...

Until about a decade ago, all exams took place on campus, with large exams taking place in the Upper Luce Hall. When increasing numbers made this impracticable, College booked both a large exhibition hall at the RDS, and also the Mansion House. A few years later, after the general election, around 2002, the Government reduced its grants to the universities, and in consequence the Mansion House booking was abandoned, and most of the big exams got packed into the week for which the RDS had been booked.

Wait till 2nd year. 8 1.5 hour Biology exams plus the 2 Chemistry ones. How fun.

I dont think this is as bad as it could have been..we were always going to have to answer a question on each module..imagine cramming all of that into only two or three exams though:eek:..ugh!

My group were on this afternoon doing The Chemistry of Emotions along with groups doing Pain, Stimulants and allergic reactions. Wasn't a trainwreck as expected.:D

More on tomorrow morning and afternoon. Only one I can think of that's on tomorrow is Chemistry of Sweets.

I got missing links. So far I'm finding it grand it doesn't justify everyone's moaning all over facebook.

That's the one I have, tbh my problem is picking what to write on, not finding something, there's too much bloody info around. :pac:

It's a little broad alright but could be worse, some of them are very abstract. Managed to find a way to work all the stuff I came up with in anyway.

Probably 10% of whatever the Lab is worth.

When's it due for? Left the Lab Manual and that behind last week.

Not too bad, give me plenty of time to do it. Damn my inability to do anything until the last possible second. :(

The same amount of marks as one lab i.e. 3% of BY1102

Or 1.5% of the final biology grade.

    It makes me very sad.
