Very surprised Pat got ents officer, didnt see much campaigning out of him and his go on the stand in the common room didnt actually say much about what he actually planned to do, or what experience he had... Thought Lou had it for sure.

    To Duddy as well:

Thanks a million for that, to be honest I think we had all underestimated Pat a bit. Everyone was saying that Cait was going to be the main contender but I had a feeling Pat could pull it off! I wish him the best of luck next year and although I'm pretty disappointed I won't be on the exec I hope I'll get class rep or something.

He's obviously the best man for the job and I don't mind losing to him!

good stuff, fair play to her.

does there tend to be much difference in recounts or is she pretty set to get in?

(Not counting Henry Durka's shock election 2 years ago after a mistake in counting had another candidate deemed elected), the recount usually matches the original, give or take a few votes.

Ha ha I'm dying to see what kind of plans he has for the SU. Sure at hustings when he was asked what he was planning to do he said 'sure Lou has some pretty good ideas so I'll use them' or something to that effect!

In Pat's case people looked at his personality rather than his manifesto. Can see why so many people did vote for him though, he seems like an average guy who likes haing fun. Not really sure what ents will be like under him but I will not judge him until I see what he does. And Princess Calico I'm sure you will get rep next year and your experience will be of benefit to the Council.

I think we can all agree that it's fantastic that banquo is our new comms officer. I will be holding you to your promises :pac:

I feel the same way. People were saying to me today that they weren't too confident in him for next year's exec, but I know that he can do it and make a great job of it if he puts his mind to it.

With the recount for Welfare, what does this mean for the count for President, will it still be held tonight or delayed to tomorrow

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11 EireOctavian

Presidential count will still happen tonight. There'll be a short break after recount for welfare, and then they'll start on president.

Congrats to Liz seeing as she has recently became a member of Boards. Hopefully she will stay a member and not just have used us for her election campaign

Hey guys, thanks for the support, well done to everyone who got elected and I hope those who didn't continue to be involved in the Union. It was a really good campaign, and it's great to see so many people voting.

What's the first tally looking like for prez?

Word on the street/in the SU says it's looking great for Aengus. Apparently he's piles ahead. They were still sorting when I was there 5 mins ago, they may be counting now. Apparently he's quite confident? I haven't actually spoken to him, just heard that from someone, so I don't know if it's true, but if it is, I'm delighted!

Everyone has been ****ed out of the count room now except the presidential candidates and their tallies...
