    Hi,

Just helping a friend out with something for a sports day and would love if someone could help me translate these 2 lines into Irish

    "This is to certify that"

    xx

    "has been awarded"

    Thanks in advance

    Mark :)

We need to know what they are being awarded with, ie what's the full sentence?

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply,I just checked and He's going to be giving out various awards at a sports day for Hurling\Running\Tug a War etc

So the full sentence would be something like

This is to certify that xx has been awarded gold for tug of war

    Cheers

Dearbhaíonn seo gur bronnadh [award] ar [person] don [competition]

This is to certify that [person] has been awarded [award] for [competition]

logainm.ie gives "Bearna an Aillín". Bearna means gap and Aillín is a name so it would be "the gap of Aillín". Wait for other opinions
