Get a child to say it, people cant be mad at children...

You don't need to say anything. If she is growing a bit of a Willie O'Dea then she has surely already realised it and either:
    a) Doesn't care

    or

    b) Is already in the process of trying to sort it

No need for you to get involved.

A friend of mine is starting to grow a bit of a moustache and I would like some advice on the best way of telling her to do something about it. She clearly bleaches it but at this stage bleach will hide it no more.
I can understand how it would affect you terribly all right, but try not to let it get to you, and just ignore it...
Just for the record, she's not ugly or anything, and she's up-to-date with all the latest fashion trends
Oh thank god! It's good to know your friends have the qualities friends should have...

    Nickname her Kitchener.

    She'll get the message.

Because it looks disgusting and in my mind is akin to not washing. Every woman has some kind of facial hair but when its clearly visible you have to do something.

When people don't wash, you have to put up with the honk if you're near them, so therefore it affects you.

When people have physical attributes that you deem disgusting but otherwise it doesn't impinge on you, ignore?

How does her ronnie affect you in any way or shape? Why feel the urge to tell her? Clearly she's doing something about it, leave her be. If she wanted to wax it instead of bleaching it she'd have done that already. Some people get rashes when they wax, a beard of spots isn't going to look any better

Its hard to ignore a whacking great ronnie on a woman, I am not talking about a bit of fuzz on your lip. I mean actual whiskers! Its distracting as hell.

Just because it is distracting doesn't mean they should be obliged to remove it.

But why would they want to keep it? That's my question, why does a woman with a very visible moustache not do anything about it?

OP planning to drop the mouth on her mate but needs a smooth lip first?

Could she not just have a shave? I think it's an urban myth that it causes the hair to grow back faster.
The number of women who shave their face is on the rise. Once upon a time a woman might whack away at a rogue hair or two sprouting from her upper lip or chin, but now she is more inclined to want all traces of peach fuzz gone from the entire face.
The first and most common misunderstanding when it comes to shaving is that the hair will grow back darker and thicker. While this is indeed possible, the hair will only thicken and darken up when the skin becomes stressed by invasive shaving techniques and chemically inappropriate product ingredients.

Because lots of people have a reaction to waxes & Veet and chemicals like that. Or maybe she's just happy with the bleaching.

Surely a stubbly upper lip on a woman is worse? Wouldn't it stick out like bristles?

No idea why someone would want to keep it, but it's their choice and I wouldn't get hung up about it.

Not if it's done right apparently. See my first link.

Hmm, surely the bristlyness is unavoidable though at the short hair stage?

Threading is not as readily available in Ireland as it is in the UK. Threading is not recommended for the upper lip. It is better to get it waxed apparently.

Threading may be purchased in like body4u or something, lower abbey st - think that's where it is. My friend goes there all the time, she keeps telling me it's a brilliant idea. I just think of needles and sewing hahaha *googles threading* It is available though!

Just tell her straight, if she's your friend she'll get pissed first, but later thank you.

Not a good idea by me really, come to think of it now.

Another thing she could do is wear funny black glasses and an oversized prosthetic nose and people will just think she is wearing one of those Groucho Marx disguises.

One of my buddies just broke up with his bird coz of her Ronnie, its all he could see when he was talking to he, all he could feel when he was kissing her. He got a friend of hers to try and drop hints but to no avail, had to dump her in the end because of it. Before people start getting all righteous over this, it's his personal right to feel this way, same as if a gril couldn't handle a guy that became overweight, physical attraction is vital for a realtionship to remain healthy. imo
