What is there to complain about. Isn't that what 3e is?

Ah now Mossy you know and I know, and everyone knows that 3E is their to Enform, Educate and Entertain, just like TV3. Why do you think they called it 3E (note I had to change the spelling of inform for this to work)

I was just thinking that it was Ironic that on the 3Text what's on now page 180 that TV3 give details of UTV and HTV but not of their own channel 3e, and yet they find the time to complain about where the 3E schedule is in the RTÉ Guide. TV3 should want to get rid of ITV listings from their text service.

3e viewing figures have gone up 25% according to this bit in the Indo since moving to 105.

3e audience fell by 36% the month they rebranded.

They have gone from 0.9% to 1.1% which brings them back to Channel 6's audience share at the end of 2008. They didn't announce that now did they.

Fell again this week, back to 0.9, but they should regain that with the success of The Apprentice: You're Fired over the next number of weeks. I was surprised to see them fall back TBH.

They have I'm a Celeb Now over the next few weeks too - and that should increase their share a bit.

Seen no advertising for their new motoring series - xccelerate - which starts tonight, while i'm wondering how 3e news will fare on Monday.

It might do, it certainly helped C6 retain their audience share late last year. However if we look over at the UK and take ITV2 as an example, it only has 2.4% audience share in a country with far less access to other multichannel stations (outside of Freeview).

I don't think it is a good idea to continue to build your audience share purely on products that others can take off you or have you increase the price that you pay for those products. e.g. RTÉ promotes Coro St and it becomes one of their most important shows only to have TV3 take it from them. The over use of ITV products is worrying.

The News show won't have really very much impact IMO, it is strange to see them put it up against Xpose, unless they plan to move Xpose over to 3e.

I don't watch much of TV3 but I have heard allot about the motoring show. It is produce by City Productions for TV3 (aka City Channel AFAIK).

So what did you think. Looks like a carbon copy of News 2 from about 10 years ago even the noise between headlines is the same.

They are up 26% again this week, they might be down 25% next week who know. (Stupid Stats)

Just viewing the 2010 schedule on digiguide and 3e schedule changes once again - just while they were getting some consistency in it.

Just a sample of morning and evening:
8:00am Midday (Shown on TV3 previous day)
9:00 Morning Show With Sybil & Martin (Shown on TV3 previous day)
10:00 Ireland AM (Shown on TV3 previous day)
    12:00 Rachael Ray
1:00 What Not To Wear USA
3:00 Jeremy Kyle Show (Propably repeats from shows already shown on TV3)
5:00 Everybody Hates Chris (Series 1-3 already shown on TV3)
6:00 3e News (actually the same new as TV3 News but with different presenters)
6:30 XPOSE (Shown 30 mins previously on TV3)
7:00 Malcolm (Series 5 showing for the 4th time in 12 months on 3e)

I thought 3e was going to be used as an alternative of TV3 as to what's on at an exact time. But now options of ellen degeneres v jeremy kyle, rachael ray v midday etc . . . The whole afternoon and morning schedules on both schedules are so female orientated it's ridiculous.

So disappointing they brought 3e down this route.

The one program I wanted to see on this channel "The Cleveland show" as per most times when I flick on to it by mistake, says No Satellite signal is being received.

Why does this happen so often, also see it on 144.

Who are you with? UPC or Sky?

3e's "catch-up" in the morning - so pointless. Expecting the 2 hour Ireland AM on at 10:15 to be the interviews, cookery, fashion etc with all the news took out. But no, instead they've put the last two hours of Ireland AM on from 8-10, complete with news. Such laziness like not to edit it down.

Why don't they just show the full 3 hours? I can't see this lasting TBH.

Sky + (pre anytime) Elmo, most evenings (that I've checked, which isn't too regular) I either get the no satellite been recivied notice or very poor sound and picture (picture freezes). Happens on occasion on channel 144/45 also, none others that I watch and e3 is by far the worse of those two channels.

What sky packages do you subscribe to? 3e isn't on the bonus pack with the other Irish channels.

His satellite package will have nothing to do with a No Signal problem. He will have Variety if he has 3e.

If you ask the question on the satellite board you may get an answer there Reg'stoy

I was thinking that but it sound like they weren't getting 3E at all.

I think it is just the time of year to be honest nothing to do with position. They have seen a weekly decrease since the new schedule. Back at 0.8 which is the same as this time last year (Monthly Jan report will be a better gage). Or it might be due to the addition of ITV 2, 3 and 4 to UPC Digital.

I'm not really surprised that there has been a decrease, it's turned into such a repeat channel from TV3. Dancing On Ice on Sunday at 10pm right after TV3 showed it. Who is going to watch this, surely the smallest minority possible. Wouldn't a film be better suited.

Hate the new daytime lineup, I always liked the comedy hour of Friends/Seinfeld/Frasier at lunchtime, and they got rid of it instead of double What Not To Wear!

Advertising of new series of US Office and 30 Rock has been very minimal (if any), and I think the new episode of Glee should be placed after the TV3 episode at 9pm on Wed.

Across all demographics 3e did see increases in November since September. In Jan they did see a significant decrease but not back to Sept levels, interestingly they retained their audience share for children which saw a 100% increase in November i.e. it went from 0.5% to 1%.

I can only imagine 3e being a 1% channel, for TV3 to look at it in any other light would be a big mistake. With the addition of TV3 morning programming they should be looking closely at improving 3e's prime time schedule.

If they wish to see an increased audience then they should try and get onto the Bonus Sky package that RTÉ, TV3, Channel 4 etc are on. As i do not subscribe to the Variety package on Sky I do not have access to their channel. The schedules tell me I am not missing much.

Wierd change- maybe '3e News' wasn't just a cool name for 3e.

Just on other news - Xccelerate has been renewed for a second series, but it's going to shift to TV3.
