Slane also have the same massive discounts on groupsets, just strange why most of the others dont.

Super Record Groupset in Slane & Shiny Bikes £1,328-48.00

PBK £1,882 !! And they're ranting on about the 'massive' 10% discount

    Pays to shop around.

Shiny bikes seem to be the cheapest when it comes to groupsets, i picked up carbon centaur group over summer from them. I had a box arrive very similar to yours, It's very exciting!

Yeah, I found them quite good, was talking to Fraser there over the phone he was telling me he was familiar with some of our roads having raced the Rás in 1997, nice guy

I could tell you - but then I'd have to kill you. I'm sorry but that's just the way it is...

I got meself a new pair of tights. The old ones (BicycleLine) got a tear just at the edge of the chamois and I was in fear of having a wardrobe malfunction some evening so I ended up wearing a pair of shorts under the tights for a few days. Quite restrictive!

Anyway, I got a pair of these:
    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/dhb_Merston_Padded_Bib_Tights_2010/5360045075/

I've only done 2 commutes in them so far, but they're nice and comfy and the chamois seems more comfortable and better sized than the BicycleLine ones ever were.

A big plus for them is the zips at the heels - I don't feel like I'm going to topple over or break a finger when getting out of them now :)

I got a pair of these the other day, found the straps really itchy for some reason.... they may just need a wash but it's put me off them for the moment.

I got a pair of these over a year ago and I would highly recommend them. Warm and comfortable especially on longer spins, will definitely buy a pair of them again. Watch out for the small zip at the front, very fiddly especially if you are in a hurry-broke mine as a result....

Thanks for that. I was thinking that I'd have to waxy my tummy to prevent any catching there :D

Have just totted up my CC purchases on CRC and Wiggle over the past 6 months..... and yes I can confirm I may have a slight problem.

The only saving grace is that 90%+ have been necessary purchases which I use on a regular basis, and hopefully that's it now for a while. All going well the next flurry won't be until the weather starts to warm up and I need summer wear, only really have proper winter wear now!

I'm weak, weak and too ashamed to say what I have done. In fairness it's not exactly "Colnago" money and it's something I've been planning for a while, but I still feel bad for pulling the trigger.

I can't say what it was, or ROK ON might kill me.

Winter frame and fork to build up a winter bike/sportive bike.

All I need is a white Arione, white bar tape and some tyres with white in them.

Was a good Wednesday in the Che house too - the frames myself and Murph100 ordered arrived!! Woohoo!!:D

What frame? Kuota? Is this for the chorus? I don't suppose you got buyers remorse and are looking to offload it for cheap?

No man, not a Kuota - one of THESE (it's back in Kerry so no pics just yet from me although Murph might oblige when he logs on next).

Have a few bits to pick up for the build yet but planning on building it up with the Chorus grp first week in March probably

Nice, never heard of argon, those seat stays look pretty nifty.

@Che and Murph. Well done and best of luck. Did ye bothe get the Argos Galium Pro. I have seen them advertised in pro-cycling. They look superb.
Can you say more about the technology etc.

@Dirk. Oh no. Don't tell me you got a PX. White I hope. You already have a beautiful Ridley.
Its going to get to a situation where you can't be a Boardsie unless you ridd a Px (in Orwell gear) :-)
All seriousness. Best of luck with the new steed.

Yeah, it's something a little different alright - a bit of a change from the Giant!

They're a relatively small canadian company, but they're well reviewed, have a good history of wins (mostly Tria granted) and the Gallium Pro is supposed to be a very stiff frame. Looking forward to having it rolling on the road now!!

@ ROK ON - Cheer's man, well I've been talking to Murph back home and he says the down tube and BB are huge, so that's keeping with the apparent stiffness aspect of the frame.

I'll be very interested in seeing how the adjustable head tube works and plays out. It's and interesting idea for keeping the front end tight by lengthening the headtube and reducing/eliminating using spacers under the stem

    :o

I know, I know...next you will have to get one though. Not in white though, I'm not cool enough to try and emulate the mighty Astramonti.

As the great Henry Blorg said after introducing the idea of mass accumulation of bicycles for Freds: "Any carbon bike, as long as it's a planet-x".

I love large BB and tubes. Hope to see it out on the road soon.

It's a bad day when Rapha send you an email saying "we've noticed you haven't bought the rain jacket yet so we thought we'd tell you more about it..." in other words I've bought nearly everything else worth buying and then they brought out the new country jersey. The Italian jersey is tasty! Must resist!

    Snap.

You know you have a problem when there is very little left to buy from a company. Also like the Italian jersey, but would need to buy the arm and knee warmers also.
Do not like a lot of the new range however.

Thats a definite ROK, I'll be over your way pretty soon, gotta drag Whitey around the mountains, might need your help with motivating him ! :D

Almost finished putting it together, my first build so I'm not gonna rush it, but only the bar tape and chain left, and then ages tuning the gears :).

Might have piccies tomorrow if work doesn't get in the way too much.

Ordered myself a pair of these earlier today. The shorts, not the models.

Has been awhile since I splurged on some cycling stuff.
