American Tea Party Movements

What are these libertarian types complaining about?

It's quite obvious that the American Dream no longer exists (i.e. big house, big cars, rebellious teenagers, affordable healthcare, affordable college education, retire to Florida @ 55).

These people think they're entitled to live like their parents did simply because they're American citizens.

Big business now owns America (you and your parents voted them in consistently). So suck it up and stop complaining. (oh and pay your taxes or we'll put you in jail).

    Two questions:

    1) What this got to do with Libertarians?
    2) Are you coming back?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Don't you think you should have started this off by telling us what tea party politics are ?

Libertarians dont believe in taxes. Neither do these Tea Party people.

The whole "tea party" name is dumb anyway. A reference to the Boston Tea party which was about taxation without representation. Sounds especially dumb to those of us from tea drinking countries.

Should I consult you (paying particular attention to the holes in your knowledge) before starting a thread in future?

Not me in particular but you should pay attention to your target audience when starting a thread. This is an Irish forum with the majority of people here (about 95%) being Irish or of Irish origin.

Why do you expect such people to have prior knowledge of every political movement in the United States that you draw a fancy of starting a thread about ?

What's more I don't like your tone. Your new here and if you want to make friends I recommend you leave the attitude at the door.

Why did you feel the need to make smug comments in a thread that you know nothing about then?

    Who's making smug comments ?

I simply assumed it was common knowledge that one would provide a little background info on a subject when making a thread about it.

By the way, don't you know its bad manners to ask another question with out answering mine first ?

If you've got a problem (with a thread you don't understand or another poster), a moderator can look into it for you.

P.s. you obviously didn't read the article.

There's no need to involve moderators for simple matters such as the lack of background information on a thread. And I have no problem with you as a poster, well that is a hadn't a problem untill you insulted my intelligence.

BTW, you still haven't answered my question.

Anyway, to me this tea party movement is nothing more than a bunch of rich big business republicans p1ssed off that they are finally being held accountable for their actions that brought the US to its knees.
