I really hope there isn't gonna be a season 6, if there is it will dilute the ending of season 5 for sure. Let it end with a bang and let's just enjoy what's left in my opinion.

Hey guys, dont know if anyone heard yet but just checked 3e and they just announced that they are showing season 5 starting on Saturday nite!

So I think this week's episode, "Swap Meat" was maybe one of the weakest of the season and perhaps the most stand-alone entry yet - though as always with this show, it was still pretty good.

Some pretty funny moments with the Gary/Sam swap and well acted by the kid too. They did tie the story a bit to the main arc (didn't see the kids being in on it all together until they tranquilized Sam) with Dean being "Hell's most wanted".

I also thought it was interesting that it's not Sam himself that needs to say "yes" to Lucifer, but whoever is in his body can do so too. That could come back at a later time maybe, as a way for Lucifer to get what he wants, without the Sam we know giving in...

It was also cool how things have now come full circle from the first season: Dean is the one that dreams of a normal, family life, while Sam has abandoned any such hopes...

I thought it was another great episode, although I thought it was slightly unrealistic that it took Dean so long to realise it wasn't Sam.
I'm glad to see that next week
we'll be back on to the main arc of the season - or at least I assume so since the episode is entitled "Back to the Future II"

Nobody seemed too bothered that the muppet of a kid was murdered (although he had it coming). Guess Gary will be doing some hard time soon enough.

The bounty on Dean's head could add another dimension beyond demons being the only ones looking for them. The lads definitely need another charm to stop body swapping.

    Yum.... tastes like moron.

    Not brilliant, but good fun.
Time to get back to the main arc, please.

Fantastic episode this week. Back to the mythology stuff which is always great.

Yeah, it was great this week. Thought the scene with the four of them in the car, with the lads in the back was hilarious...

A fantastic episode indeed... Anna back, young Uriel and wow, Michael! Heartbreaking that no matter what the boys did, they could not change things for their parents... yet again.

Gah, why is this one of the only decent TV shows not to get its own subforum. I guess people don't talk enough about it, but they should.

    Anna...gotta love that girl.

It makes me wonder though, if they think there's no free will, why do they keep pestering them to say yes? Is repetition part of god's plan?

Former EastEnders actor Adam Croasdell has landed a role in hit American drama Supernatural, Digital Spy can reveal.
The 29-year-old, currently best known for his part as Walford's Dr Al Jenkins, is to play Baldur, the Norse god of light on the CW series.
News of Croasdell's casting comes just a few days after his final EastEnders scenes aired on BBC One. He had been out in Los Angeles for only a week when he secured his new part.
Speaking of the role, Croasdell told DS: "It's fantastic being a part of such a popular show and exciting to be in the American arena. I'm looking forward to the challenge."
The soap star had previously confirmed talks for new projects by revealing that he had "a couple of nice things on the boil", but kept tight-lipped over the details at the time.

That's quite possibly one of the most disturbing starts to an episode ever. Very weird. Just finished it there. Fantastic episode yet again. Very very dark. Probably the darkest i've watched in quite a while. Famine was brilliantly creepy, and Sam all high on blood kicking ass again was cool. Fantastic.

Thought it was great, as usual...
No new episode until March 25th!!! Stupid US scheduling...

I agree, great episode...My weekly tv line-up is very quickly diminishing with these breaks!

Yup, some of the most disgusting deaths in awhile in any episode... brilliantly done though, perfect for the introduction of yet another horseman. And yet, still some funny moments throughout, with the cupid and Cas' having the munchies...

Great progression again for the boys too, seeing how close to falling back to his addiction Sam really is and how empty inside Dean is. Excellent stuff which is going to make the break hard to bear :(.

What a great creation Famine was. They could so easily have gone for another smug guy in a suit.

Another great balancing act of the light and the dark..... Long wait now before the next batch. :(

Living TV also showing Season 5 now

Fantastic episode,I just love how they can do humour and then make it the darkest episode at the same time. I was eating my lunch while watching that opening scene...not too good! :P

Famine was really good as someone mentioned. They could have had him been some cool guy in a suit but he was so creepy the way he was.

Same going bad ass again and having to be locked in that room all over again was really dark, but really well done.

    Feckin break now! :mad::mad:

This show is really fantastic,of all the things on tv at the moment it is right up there with the best,if not the best. Yet most people have never heard of it.

Great episode. About time we got a main story ep anyway. Famine was excellently done. Lovely touch with the cold turkey at the end.

So one more horseman to go before Death - Pestilence. That should be fun :)

Superb episode - best since we came back from the Chrimbo break. The opening death was one of the most gruesome yet but then I thought we were going a little bit more comic when we saw Cupid.
Of course then, in a way only Supernatural can managed, we went dark. And darker. And then really dark. Famine was played out so well - one of the creepiest characters they've had yet. He broke Sam for a bit and I think that taste of demon blood will linger, as well Dean's emptiness.

... Just check epguides.com - when in the name of Sam Vessel is the next episode on?!

    March 25th. 6 flippin' weeks.
That'll be episode 97 - I wonder if they are planning anything big for episode 100?

Finally I've found other people in Ireland who watch Supernatural, thought I was alone! I've been trying to make friends and family watch since I caught up on all the seasons last year but have been ignored or mocked at every turn!

My Bloody Valentine was a great ep, I really like Ben Edlund's style (although in retrospect I should have given more careful consideration to the timing of my dinner...) and he has a handle on the characters and their development (this can be a little hit-or-miss in some eps IMHO). One of the things I like most about this show is their ability to effortlessly blend gore, emotional angst and laugh-out-loud comedy - all played really well here.

Famine was well imagined and played, though some of the scenes with his victims were truly gross (first scene and the guy with his hands in the deep fat fryer, barf!). No complaints though, it was strangely appropriate to raise the gore bar so high for valentines day.

Loved Cupid, and the comic timing of the three leads is so good (there have got to be tons of outtakes from that scene, Misha Collins looked like he was really close to cracking up at one point).

The acting was, as usual, great - Jensen Ackles at the end was phenomenal (I liked the way they just let him carry it with minimal dialogue - he's so good at the emotional scenes with the single-manly-tear, but now we're in season 5 they need to be careful not to repeat from previous eps too much). Jared Padalecki was great too, he really goes for it with the demon blood possession - but for the love of god, won't someone please call in a decent hairdresser stat, those flowing locks and sideburns-of-doom have finally reached the stage that they distract me from the actual story!

Finally, can't believe that there's a six-week break before I can watch the next episode! There's something to be said for waiting for the box sets and watching in one go....this real-time approach is stressing me out!!

Excellent episode again. I love the demon blood/powers arc. Wish they'd explore it more. There was one episode way back when he shifted a closet with his powers, but we never saw anymore power variations since.

Im wondering if Sam even needs the blood for his powers though, when they released Lucifer Ruby said that Sam had it in him the whole time, or something along those lines. Possibly suggesting that he may not need the blood if he just embraced the powers.
Also, back at the end of Season 2 Jake said ""Once you give into in there's all sorts of Jedi mind tricks you can learn" and we never once saw him drinking demon blood or the like yet he had superstrength and mind control. I think maybe the writers are using the blood drinking as a sort of temporary switch for Sam to access his powers, but he can "detox" so to speak. Maybe if he actually embraced his powers like Jake did he would become truly evil.

Im not sure he will be able to detox this time however, last time they tried that in Bobbie's cellar it almost killed him. The only thing that wore his powers out was killing Lillith.. should be interesting to see where they go with that.. (then again they could just have the detox work this time, citing the fact that he didn't drink nearly as much blood)

That opening scene was pretty full on alright, as was vampire Sam but all in the name of good tv! Was kind of awkward at the time since I was in the room with a non-Supernatural fan who was wondering wtf I was watching when people started eating each other but sure the moment passed.

    6 week wait :(

That sucks, but that also happens to be the day my lectures end for the year so Il have something to look forward to at least!

Hopefully it'll keep up the awesomeness... I would assume season 5 is pretty much done filming so I'm not sure they can stretch the current arc out? Or did they possibly have that in mind? I'm definitely hoping the quality is still there next year...

Haven't really watched Supernatural but after the recent episode, I'm officially hooked. It's a nice change from what I usually watch. Is the next episode out next week ?
