Cage (car) drivers really piss us motorcyclists off.

Would it really hurt for them to use the accelerator with a little enthusiasm?

A traffic light turns from red to green and the average car driver takes an age to reach the speed limit. Bikers on the other hand are half way down the road by the time the car even gets in gear.

Things that get on my nerves in this country -

As the OP said people standing in front of a coffee machine that won't let you pass by to get coffee
Rude, ignorant people, and people who have no manners
    Slow drivers on the road
    Rude taxi drivers
    The traffic situation in Dublin
The government, and they way they can get away with so much. This would also apply to bankers, and the rich people in this country who can and are allowed to avoid getting taxed like the rest of us. Unions, property developers, and what they can get away with, and overall the complete overhanded corruption that exists in this country
The health service, and how Mary Harney got re-elected in the last election?????? Her, and professor Drum, should be "Gone" at this stage. I think both of them need to spend 12 to 15 hours in dirty A and E chairs to do some thinking about the state of the health service
How the prams and buggies come into town for the Christmas shopping rush, and how the mothers with the prams plough through people??
The abuse that took place within the church, and how priests "May" not be sent to prison for their actions
    B*tchy irish girls.
Nasty employers who treat people badly
And finally, why with alot of my issues above why irish people won't stand up and make an actual difference to the way the government run the country, and why some politicians are "Still" in politics when they are not competant to do what they were elected to do, or "Promised" people they would do. A protest march once in a while will and has not made a difference, real change is needed, and it comes from irish people who are united to real change in this country. Why people die in hospital due to MRSA, or die waiting for an operation etc and no one seems to stand up and do anything about any of this.

I think that irish people really need to stand up united against the government, corruption etc. Someday, maybe....

One more thing!! People driving on irish roads. People who won't use their indicators, people who overtake a string of traffic when approaching a bend, putting everyone on the road in danger.

Thats most of it for me, although I could be here for a week putting a list together. Thats why I am looking forward to leaving this country :)

At the airport, when you go through the metal detector machine and go to pick up your tray with bag, belt etc, don't stand there putting all your things on from the tray. Pick it the f*ck up and get the f*ck out of the way so the people behind can get theirs.

    I hate airports.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,598 ✭✭✭✭prinz

Speaking of the airports, the prats who stand in line for security for 20 odd minutes complaining about having to wait, then when they finally get to the top they are the very people who have to start going through every pocket with coins, watch, belt, laptop, etc etc

Same with people at bus-stops bitching about how long the bus is taking... and when it does arrive realise they don't jave the change ready.

Why Veronica Guerin has not been given a proper memorial in Dublin, or Ireland for what she done for this country. She changed the corruption of drugs, and drug barrons in Ireland forever, and this lady, in my opinion deserves a proper memorial, or statue of her in Dublin

I can't stand the word ignorant,it is usually used by girls of the hooped earrings and trackuits variety to describe someone that merely glanced at them. e.g
'Luk at dat ignorant bitch over dere starin at me!'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,813 ✭✭✭TPD

It's tempting to head down to Dublin to sit on the back of a bus with a boombox blasting classical music. Bet I'd get kicked off.

Are you seriously trying to suggest that there are no more drugs or drug barons left in Ireland? After Guernin's murder, there was very little drugs knocking around Dublin for about 6 months & then it all went back to normal.

These days the situation, if anything, is even worse than it was back then, with bigger gangs running the show, more well armed & a lot nastier in how they operate - why do you think there's a drug gang shooting in our cities almost every week?

These people think nothing about having a pop at each other, or anyone who p*sses them off or owes them money.

Or those that take up all the road in traffic, thereby blocking you from flitering. Though the worse are those who do this by choice, you know the type, I can't move so I resent you for your ability to keep moving.

Your right, but I question the first 6 months thing, I didn't notice any effect at all, there where still plently of drugs there. I know we had a different viewpoint on another thread, so I'm just pointing out I'm not trying to be funny here.

Would you expand on your reasons for that statement, I can't understand it. It a while since that event, but I don't remember any of my clients having difficulties in scoring, so I interested in why you said that.

People who go to the shop for a carton of milk, wait til they get to the counter, get it scanned, then start to root around for the money.

You have a rough idea how much it is going to cost you. Just have the money ready FFS!

I know a few dealers who were lifted at the time in Crumlin & things went a bit quite for a while.. probably not the case everywhere though.

Large groups of secondary school brats who won't move out of your way when driving past them.

People who stop at the top of escalators and in shop doorways and then look at you like you have 10 heads as you try to get past.

People who have 10 heads. Really p*sses me off.

People who park in the middle of petrol station forecourts instead of pulling over to a side. It's understandable if the place is packed and you've nowhere else to park but to come in on your own or with one or two cars there blocking everything so no one can get in or out is just completely inconsiderate and ignorant of other people.

Ya see the problem there is that more often than not...some darn litterbug leaves a set of fuel pumps in the middle of the forecourt!!
