Does anyone know when and where Joe Dalton will next conduct a spiritual healing session. I attended one at the weekend in Clontarf, though it was half over when I got there, and am keen to go again.
    Thanks

I don't want to come across as rude or overbearing, or even missing the whole point of it all, but if you're sick, I think it would be better to visit a doctor.

Joe Dalton was a singer and so far as I'm aware, has no medical training at all. So he's not really the best man to go for advice or treatment.

I asked about Joe Dalton, not Joe Dolan.
I didn't say I was sick, just enquired of his next appearance.

I didn't realise that - I just stumbled across his siminar when he was half way through, therefore I'm looking to attend it from the start. So if anyone does know when/where he's next appearing I'd be grateful to have the details.
    Thanks

why? this is a discussion forum isn't it? seemed like a reasonable thing to say seeing as these faith healers are all charlatans.

Joe Dalton is one of the so-called "Spiritual Healers" who have blighted society by exploiting the most vulnerable. There are many like him, and it will only be a matter of time that he too will be exposed for the fraud that he is.

Joe Dalton is one of the so-called "Spiritual Healers" who have blighted society by exploiting the most vulnerable. There are many like him, and it will only be a matter of time that he too will be exposed for the fraud that he is.

Firstly Joe Dalton was not just a 'singer' he was one of the words foremost opera singers gaining awards from many countries and is actually in The who' who book with many other well know folks.
Secondly He is a commited Christian, a sinner like you and me and all of us as Gods word tells us yes, but a charlatan or fraud never.

I have known Joe for some time and attended his talks and witnessed healing My own included.

He will be having a retreat soon at Craig Lodge house of prayer Dalmally scotland soon (see their Website).

Joe is a good Christian Man and a humble one at that He is not a 'Spiritual Healer' in the way that you put it and understands and gives any glory to God He prays in Jesus Name and I would urge anyone particularly those with back problems or problems with their legs to go see him I have personally seen legs that where shorter than the other become even in length and I can assure you I am a very traditional often sceptic Christian since being prayed with by Joe My legs have been devoid of pain since I like Joe understand this was the work of Jesus not Joe.

The Holy Spirit gives to one person one gift and to another a different gift but all are from the same spirit is this not what the word of God says?.

The Holy Spirit also chooses whom to give what gift to.

Whom has he exploited could you provide an example?

Since when did Evangelisation 'blight society'?

I would consider myself a sinner and therefore short of the Glory of God as Scripture says.

Judge not lest you be judged.

If you want something as reliable as a spiritual healer you might as well go to a homeopathist. They use BS as a method of healing as well.

It is not up to me to disprove unsubstantiated - and let us call a spade a spade - absurd claims. If you wish to believe in this guy, that is fine by me, but as far as I am aware, none of his so-called miracles were ever proven. This guy does not heal people and he has no supernatural powers. He is a charlatan, persuasive perhaps, but a charlatan all the same.
Here is some sound advice for anyone with a medical problem: see a doctor.
Back problems are a by-product of western society's lifestyle. Most of us have them, including me. They are notoriously difficult to diagnose, and even more difficult - if not impossible - to cure. Moreover, backache has a tendency to just come and go for no apparent reason. Healers of questionable repute always jump upon problems such as these. They are fully aware that in time things will improve, even without intervention. In medical science this is called "regression to the mean".
I challenge Joe, or any of his disciples, to come up with empirical evidence of a miraculous healing. And of course, this does not include anecdotes.
Once this proof is provided, I will be the first to admit that I have been wrong all along. Until then Joe can only be regarded as a con man, and should be avoided like the plague.

Wow, what are the odds, another 'humble' holy Joe, who can do unsubstantiated healings. Why it's almost like when humble Joe Coleman healed that blind traveller boy that no one could ever locate again. One would imagine if stunted legs suddenly grew longer the medical community would be delighted with this development. One would imagine Humble Joe would be happy to give evidence of his 'gift' to the masses.
Judge not lest ye be judged < a fool and his money is easily parted.

    Hi all,

I have a cousin in the army in the UK, who lost his legs in Iraq.

Do ye think Joe would be able to fix him?

Or does he only heal subtle injuries that have a habit of fixing themselves spontaneously anyway?

    Regards,

    Dave

And as a good Christian man who gives all the glory to God and the holy sprit I presume all these seminars/healing sessions done by Joe are completely free to attend, yes?

But what if he really was able to heal people by invoking the power of God and channeling that power to the sick and was in such demand that he didn't have the time to work a normal 9 to 5 job? Wouldn't it be somewhat ludicrous of him not to charge for healing? I have to pay my Doctor 60 flippin euros before he'll even speak to me let alone diagnose me and prescribe me anything and even when he does I still have to buy my flippin medicine. I'd gladly pay Joe to heal me or any of my kids if he genuinely could, and anyone who wouldn't is a hungry miserable money grubbin tight old f&rt.

Guys I'm all for knocking faith healers but I don't think the OP was looking to defend her interest in Joe Dalton, she was asking a simple question of time tables.

Does anyone actually have an answer to her question?

If he really could then sure I'd pay him. Obviously I don't believe he can. But if he is taking money then obviously he isn't doing it purely for the glory of God anymore than a doctor is doing it purely to help sick people. The doctors that do that are the ones that volunteer for Medicine San Frontier ect. I don't see Joe volunteering for anything whatsoever. Also does he refund the money to anyone that doesn't get healed? As far as I can see there is only one hungry misserable money grubbing old fart in this situation and his name rhymes with faux.

Edit: But like the poster above says, this is all off topic from what the OP asked, so I'll leave the thread to people that can answer her question.

I don't know much about Joe Dalton and I'm not really into healers etc but I am open minded too so I don't think that I'm overly biased.

I attended a meeting that he spoke and prayed with people at some years ago when I was young... my mum dragged me along.:)

During the prayer session Joe called a young girl in a wheelchair up to the top of the hall and declared she was healed and told her to get up out of her chair. She couldn't but Joe continued on with "You can... Jesus wants you to etc". His was very emphatic in his insistence. She was young and horribly embarrassed with everyone watching on and she was just not able to get up. He eventually let up and she was wheeled away again but it was a really unpleasant experience to watch. I could see she was definitely upset after it and as I was a young teenager then too I could absolutely relate... I'd have died at the time if it was me.

I don't know if he genuinely believed that she might be healed or if he saw someone young in a wheelchair and thought to himself "Hmmm this could be a crowd pleaser". Overall however it made me wonder if he was more about showmanship and less about prayer or concern for the assembled ill.

My opinion would be that if you are in need of healing then go to say a prayer if that's what you're into but place your faith in God rather than in people who make exceptional claims.

Joe does not take payment for praying with anyone he as he will tell you himself does not do the healing The Lord Jesus does and has used Joe to heal many people.

cant say I have witnessed Joe behave in This way as I find Him one of the most sensative men I have met I attend most of His meetings can you tell me when and where this took place?

I do understand not everyone is healed instantly but many come back months later completely healed.

We can ask God to heal but we cant make Him jump through hoops and demand He do it imedietly or do it our way.

Bitterness heals no one could anyone heal a child that was born with no arms or legs because of the greed of the drug companies that made the thalidomite drug?

Can Joe raise all the dead from all of humanities wars?

No he cant and it is not Joe that heals when anyone prays in the name of Jesus it is Jesus who heals.

In your cousins case how do you define healing?
My 2 youngest Sons where born with polysystic Kidney Disease and their Kidneys are being kept functioning by prayer and yes their Doctors also.
Who said Jesus does not use Doctors to heal?
Try encouraging your cousin and give him hope many live with terrible injuries.
    Let me explain.
Your cousin like many is in a wheelchair?
He can be helped by those that love Him giving Him encouragement or get more depressed if all he hears are negative views of His future I have known others with no legs due to workplace accidents and other injuries lead full lives and yet others that have not progressed because understandably they are bitter and because those around them discourage instead of encourage them.
I am afraid The choice is your cousins what route he will take.

losing limbs, being completely depressed or ill or injured in any way does not make that person less of a person or less valuable a human being Just ask Douglas Bader that Question or many others who have lost limbs that have gone on to do greater things than those with all limbs intact.
having said hat i cant image in my worst nighmare what it would be like to lose both legs.
My dads Mother was murdered at the age of 76 she was stabbed 11 times by a man who murdered an old man on the same night I dont know how My dad coped as he was the oldest and had to identify Her and she had so many stab wounds on Her face it was hard to recognise Her.
Evil causes sickness,Death and pain that is My view as does Mans inhumanity to Man all we can do is love and encourage the person afflicted as thay still have a kife to lead wha kind of life depends on the love and encouragement they get and what they decide to do all we can do is simply be there for them.
Joe is human he is not God He does his best and I have seen people healed at His healing services what can I see I have seen it with my own two eyes but healin comes in many forms Dave.
In this situation what can somone do exept go on with life or not no amount of worry, bitterness, has ever healed anyone of anything has it?
So we go on and things do get better believe me I tried to taje my life so many times because of illness and depression until I realised the fact that I could die or go on as best I could now I am truly hapy I made the choice for life.

    God Bless
    Niklas24
