Throw some ash on it from the fire place, works a treat.
Kitty litter works a treat too. ;)

I had to do the same thing too for my Da when he was trying to put the car into the drive way except use a shovel to get rid of the ice under the snow. But funny enough the ground isn't worse.

The dis-advantages to a front wheel drive :D.

Saw something similar few days ago out on the pitch behind my house, but it was a Citroen C2, and it hit the goal post...still there, though covered in snow.

Even if they are drunk, you'd still wonder....How stupid are these people

I'm sad now, they got out, after 10 minutes of going all over the place and getting stuck in snow, 8 people had to push it out...

Ha! Just went for a walk out back actually(and a sneaky fag while the aul one is asleep), to check on the dog. Tis actually pretty nice out, wasn't windy or anything and couldnt resist the urge to make a snow angel(sure what else would one do at almost 5am :p). The snow is startin to grow on me. Plus thanks to the snow my exams are cancelled til the end of the month and it's made for some fine skirmishin weather.

Great weather if you ask me :p Dunno what all the fuss is aboooot

Out of curiosity, anyone know what type of tac-vests those are in the pic above?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,559 ✭✭✭KonFusion

    Ha, subconscious advertising :p

I think they're ciras, but I'm sure someone else will be able to let you know if I'm wrong.

They seem to be wearing the choc-chip american desert camo anyway, leading me to believe they're american, and I know the Ciras is what the USSOCOM guys apparently wear, and the Marines apparently also wear a version in CB I believe.... So yeah....Ciras

Edit: Could also be RAV (Linky) but look pretty much the same...

They're Marines alright, and the vests are MTV's (Modular Tactical Vest). Only Recon Marnes, MARSoc etc. wear CIRAS.

Looks like Desert Marpat too, choc chip is the old Gulf war gear that the Iraqi army are using now.,:)

    Never fails ;):D

Also thanks for the desert marpat update....seems kinda obvious now that you point it out lol. I was actually thinking to myself when I was first lookin at the pic- "are they still wearin that crap"

Yes, it's one of the great laws of the Internet! If you are wrong, do not fear, someone will point it out quickly. Thanks for the answer though, now to find out *where* to get either an MTV or CIRAS vest...

CIRAS should be easy to get, you could probably get one of an Irish retailer. ACM's one are pretty decent quality at the price (around 80-100 euro). The best quality are Pantac and Flyye, expect to pay a lot more though (around 190-250). Only MTV available is by Pantac. It's pretty expensive though - around $257 ex-shipping on Redwolf. The ITV which is still in use and precedes the MTV is a good and cheap alternative, should be able to pick one up on ebay for around €50.
