ok, so if i tell a joke then i can't make it about ginger hair?

i guess blonde jokes are out too then?

of course no racist jokes so no more paddy irish man, paddy english man etc.

no men or women jokes as it will offend due to sexism.

no animal jokes for fear of upsetting animal lovers.

so what can i tell a joke about?

    :confused::confused::confused:

can anyone post a link to a joke that is funny but cannot offend someone?

    Q: What's brown and sticky?

    A: A stick.

(however this could be seen as offensive to those plants/trees that don't have brown bark. Also the stick might have been broken off the tree by someone so the tree-huggers would be up in arms!!! Damn I can't say 'tree-huggers' because that's offensive and they surely wouldn't be 'up in arms' - it's hard to be inoffensive!)

I love gingers! I think ginger girls tend to be gorgeous. Kinda wish I was ginge. Not enough to bleach and dye my hair though.
I did. My red hair rocked!

Then started to fall out... I'm raven-headed now though, not bald.

I'd rather my hair stay in my head. I had black hair til recently, my mousy brown is growing out now and I'm going to let it continue.

    Gingers for Justice!

    etc.

Ginger rhymes with whinger, no surprise there.

I'll take the piss out of people, and I couldn't give a hairy shite if someone takes the piss out of me.

Why do people get so offended over things? Grow a pair for fuck sake.

And all the gingers I know are utter cunts

All English people i know are utter whinging cunts too.*

*not really, i just felt like posting something extremely thick also.

Some people are comparing this to "even Santa likes black kids".

But maybe it's better to compare this with its simpler schoolyard examples:
    "even Santa likes fat kids"
"even Santa likes kids with glasses".
Would these be more/less objectionable. If so, why?

There's an irony in the ginger thing that is appreciated by (mature) adults that may not be appreciated by kids.

If it was "likes fat kids", it'd be an even bigger mess.

Personal experience, it's not my fault they're all pricks

Thanks for being condescending though, it's always good. If only you'd put a '' in the post, I could have ignored it

This is crazy it reminds me of one Xmas my daughter school decided to have a "Mother Xmas" instead of a Father Xmas to show the kids equality, well most of us chose to keep the kids at home for the day.

On another occasion they couldn't tell the story of the ugly duckling because it suggested that the duck was ugly while it was black and beautiful when it turned white.

For goodness sake, children don't see things like that.

I think political currentness as just gone to far.

having grown up being slagged for being a red head, carrot head, tomato head and so on it didnt bother me at all and i still dont mind those terms, BUT the word 'ginger' was never used as a term of slaging when i was younger, its only in recent times that it has been adopted by people in ireland copying what they hear from across the water in britain. to be honest i hate the term and do find offensive, but more so because of its connotations in the uk being accepted and adopted for a degrading torn of phase here... why the need to try and copy the brits when we have so many terms of 'endearment' of our own.

*cue the predictable barrage of 'gowan out of that ginger' from the wanna be brits*

In fairness it's not like people are going up to little kids, pointing and heckling. It's just a joke.

Everything has changed. It's all in jest but people will use anything now to complain about something. I'll give the perfect example. Some science proffesor from America has complained about thomas the tank engine saying it's sexist and could make young girls think that is what a womans way is in life and you just have to laugh.

Corrupt PMs, recession, sense of humour going down the drain.

You can't joke any more, in case (and you will) offend someone.

    It's madeness

    Me too.

I assumed that the mods would keep the pictures of gingers to a minimum.

    :(
