Any pukes with the previous tall orders??

    Yup.
Plus been bundled into a taxi with a pre-payed fare by a mate.
    Classy, I know....

ara come of it folks, there's a lot of **** written here at the mo

If someone can say 12 pints, firstly they're doing fantastically well for even remembering the amount of pints they consumed and secondly, if you remember every other individual drink after that you're a bull****ter...

We all have day long binges where god knows what you're had but making a list of all the drinks the next day is a conversation I haven't seen anyone have seriously since they were a teen.

Any pukes with the previous tall orders??

I have nights where I have NO memory, but I also have nights where i Hvae drank more and my memory is Painfully intact. It is possible.

I remember the majority of mine and was told about some of the others that how I was able to list mine.
Nearly everyone remembers what they have had at the start of the night esp if they start late and throw a load into them!

Nobody counts long day binges drinks...they just say instead I was drinking for 17 hours straight! etc etc

Bloody hell. I always thought the papers were exaggerating the binge drinking angle, but apparently not.

OP - your "usual" adds up to about 25 units in a single night.
DarkJager, your total comes to over 40 units in a night.

The suggested "safe" amount is 3-4 units on any given day.

    www.drinkaware.ie

That drinkaware site is such a buzzkill, 3-4 units? Whats that? 2 pints a night? That's not Ireland, that's not even Italy.

    I'm thirsty now.

The way I worked it out was:

I remember drinking the bottle of wine and I remember some of the guinness, but how I worked out it was 8 was because I bought a crate that day and when I woke up in the morning there were 9 gone and one pint of guinness spilt all over the floor, so I must've drank 8.

Would've only been able to guess otherwise. Oh and kinda wish I had got sick, probably wouldn't have felt so bad in the morning.

Ever heard of designated drivers? They're usually cruel bastards for throwing out the "i was sober" gossip the next day :D

These days about the same as the good Admiral.
    depends.
sunday night is my main night drinking and i can easily sink 20 pints and a few shirley basseys but if im in work on monday morning ill only have about 10 and wont touch the whiskey. working in a pub doesnt help because i dont have to go home when the shutters come down

    When I was 16 and spoofing to impress my friends, about this;

Last night I had out (last week):

    6 cans
    1 shot Jagermeister
    9 Pints Heineken
    5 shots Aftershock Red
and to top it all off:

An entire pitcher of vodka and red bull to myself. :( I don't think I need to explain how that shopping list feels the next morning.

But on a night out in the local it would rarely be less than 8-10 pints.

This thread reminds me of every Monday n Thursday morning in college. The endless recounting of drinks consumed. In bulleted list format. Snore.

As Slashermcgurk said, its hard to believe someone who can give ya a drink for drink account of a night out. Anytime I drank something approaching the amount of stuff listed in some of these posts, I couldnt remember me own name, let alone drinks I had and the order I drank them in.

If ya cant remember and your going around quizzing friends about what you drank........well it sounds like you need afew need more topics of conversations for the day after!

    Most nights I'd have:

    17 Pints
    4 litres of vodka
12 shots of some crazy 115% Serbian Buckfast
and an entire fridge full of an alcoholic's urine.

But, in real life, much like everyone else on this thread, about 4-8 drinks, depending on the night. (a drink being a pint, a glass of vodka/other spirit with a mixer, a glass of wine, or a shot)

Most I've had in the one day/night (around 6pm to 1am) was 15 pints of Heineken/Carlsberg, I was so drunk that I started drinking my Da's Carlsberg while he was off talking shíte to people he knew 20 years ago.(Twas a wedding)
I was in bits after that, Carlsberg doesn't agree with me at the best of times.
Going to a disco I'd have a shoulder of vodka followed by 3 or 4 cans. So I'd be drunk, but not too drunk.
A normal night in the pub I'd have 5 or 6 pints. At most I'd be a bit tipsy.
On holidays I'd have about 8 pints with some green or blue shots. Pretty drunk.

    Not too shabby for a 15 year-old.

Tbh, why did you post here if it bores you? Some people enjoy regaling the horrendous amounts they've drank... that's the beauty of boards, there's a thread for everyone. Doesn't mean every one has to post in it.

Oh, this is my 1000th post... my mother would be so proud :)

I have quite a slight frame, I can handle my booze fairly well however I have to drink tactically to last the pace if I'm on a complete bender.

On a night out I'd prob start with pints but I'd take it easy...I may have 4 or 5 as when the clock strikes 'nightclub' then the jagerbombs start followed by Vodka and redbulls.

A thread full of people exaggerating how much they drank the night before by a good 8 drinks isn't exactly exciting.

A couple of glasses of wine while getting ready and then about 5/6 vodkas in the pub/club.(would dring more only out dancing-so no hangover)

To be honest this would be a lot for me usually. Of course I have drank more on occasions but there's no way in hell I could even remember what I had (or want to for that matter :P )

Compared to some of the claims in this thread I'm a lightweight :o

But I just hate waking up on Sunday and feeling sick and miserable. I work and study all week, I don't want to waste my day off feeling awful. So I don't tend to drink anymore than a few glasses of wine, some vodka and maybe 1/2 shots max. I physically can't cope with anymore without being bed ridden the next day!

    35-40 pints.
If i don't have work the next day, it's a different story.

On a good night less than 8 pints. On a really really bad night that I'll regret for days, any amount more than that.

TBH I would drink that amount BEFORE heading to a nightclub. Usually no less than 4 cans, no more than 8 cans. I would then constantly have a drink in my hand while in the club. Alot of people I know are similar to me.

To be fair, there are alot of comments here where im like WTF, I would be left in a hospital trolley if I drank that much.

Yeah, it tends to be an Irish Problem, no confidence without a drink in their hand.

I'm actually quite a confident person. Its just my way of doing things and how I like to enjoy myself. Its the same in a pub, I dont sit at a table with no drink in front of me.

People can build up a tolerence to alcohol if you get use to drinking it.
When I was 17 and in my first year of college, I use to drink a full bottle of vodka and 2 litres of cider before I even left the flat! Then continue drinking in the club. Complete madness to think about it now.

Thankfully if you cut down or stay away from it completely, your tolerence goes back down!!
It can be scary how much some people can hold.
When I get a general check up done I'm gonna ask them to check the state of my liver after the years of abuse I've given it

My average night out consists of:
    • 6-12 cans of Bud
    • nagan of voda (smirnoff)
    • up to 10 various shots during the night to keep me drunk
I sober up quite quickly and rarely get hung over!
Perfect for college the following morning

Generally about two-four pints, a couple of rum-and-cokes, and maybe a mojito or two if I can get to somewhere that does the real thing. That's me rather drunk, with my slender frame and all. Only hungover if there is wine and vodka involved somewhere along the line, never a good move.

I believe you that you are confident, but do you feel that confidence in a Pub where everyone's drinking and you are teetotal? I know I don't!

I used to be so, but since I started drinking it's something that I find very hard to get back to.
