Little brother just surfaced after surgery there. Had a tough time waking up apparently but it all went well. Fairly doped up on the phone, big husky voice and he kept repeating himself, kinda funny :D

ooh, I've moved into such a ghetto. I hadn't seent his "knacker girls wearing pajamas" and saw it first thing on my way to the house. Also some guy burst into a shop I was in and went "JAV ANY SMALL DRINKS!!!" and the woman at the counter was all "stand there for a while" to the security man. Also I saw like ....5 bums on the street, and a rat. When I saw the rat I had a laugh.

Also sketchy landlord; "so err, can I have your bank details there" "no nono, cash please". His face is all scarred too. And I have not seen a lease.... but those other people had been living there fine so it's fine.
So where is this wonderful place you're hiding from us then?:)

Ooh sounds delish! I is good, except for being in stupid final year  going to have to be doing essays in the stupid college study rooms this weekend when I just want to lounge around in my jim-jams! Brother's okay, morphined off his face but that's not necessarily a bad thing I guess, this operation should have him off crutches and painkillers before the end of January which is good coz he's been heavily dependent on those two things for the past six months or so

That is not that bad! Honest!

I used to live in Stoneybatter. You'd see the sickest stuff walking down Manor St, People drinking cans of paint. But I never had a spot of bother. I actually accidentaly left the key in the front door, with my wallet hanging off it overnight. Maybe 3 times, and we all woke up alive!

Possibly, I know the area, but I don't really know where it is, I got lost for like an hour walking home from there yesterday.

Hehehehe, mixed responses. Yar though i won't be going around looking for trouble. It's "sketchy" as far as my definition of "sketchy" goes, but then I have only ever lived in cork and then rathmines previous to this.

    lol!

If I fall over or walk into one more thing today I'm going to be very annoyed. So far I've fallen down a stairs, up a stairs, walked into a door and run into a bannister thingie. I normally rack up at least one falling over/walking into incident a day but four is a bit much. I'll just sit still and be quiet and then gravity can't get me.

It is not your kinda celebrating Tar. It is ~shudder~ civilized. :P

It might be fun to have a getaway somewhere in the new year.
If we are not utterly destitute after Xmas.

I hate talking to taxi drivers.

I hate that people (myself included) feel obliged to talk. And say things like "busy tonight?". When the reality is that I couldn't care less if he is busy.

Or when I get picked up leaving the casino at 8am, and the taxi man "explains" how to play poker the whole 20 minute drive home. 20 minutes of nonsense if you ask me.

Right nerdians! (*ahem*.... Tar) how do I convert FLAC and M4A files into soething I can actually listen to and play on a regular cd player? What software do I need to download?
Whats all this about beers anyway?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 537 ✭✭✭DonnieScribbles

Aren't M4A CD quality files? Music I've ripped off CD's is always M4A or AAC... You using a Mac or PC? I'm a mac-head, but you can convert most things to most things using quicktime player as far as I know. I've also used ffmpegx and Switch but these are mac only...

There should be a New Year Beers, in some mad place like Mayo ...

    I'm sleepy...

If you're feeling techy the lame encoder should handle it. Otherwise this encoder looks quite nice. Never used it myself. Regular CD players generally play wav files and little else, some newer ones can handle mp3.

There's a difference between CD quality and the format you'll find on an actual CD =D Most programs used to rip off CDs re-encode to a nice compact (usually lossy) format after decoding whatever format was used on the CD. FLAC is generally higher quality =P

If you want to make CDs you'll need another program to burn them, it's been a while though so I can't recommend any, but there are lots out there =)
